I am looking forward to hearing from LC on his assessment for next years team.

You will likely be disappointed. My analysis will be very short. The offense returns everything but the QB and the OTs, and will be fine. The defense loses Hagan, Popp, and Cole Baker but returns the rest of the starters. Without any reason to expect major improvement from the defense, I see no reason for optimism that next year's team will be competitive with Miami, Buffalo, and Kent, so I see Ohio fourth in the East.

I wouldn't be surprised if we won 8 games next year with a more favorable OOC slate. Ohio football is normally the same year to year.

How can you win without an experienced QB?
Do you start Kurtis and let him learn on the job? I have seen this before when we have QB no with more than a few snaps of experience. It usually plays out pretty ugly. If we bring in a JC or grad student then we delay our underclassmen development.
And our defense??? UGH!
at least 6 losses.

Did the team that won the MACC this year have an experienced QB?

Lots of questions for sure:

Will OUr receiving corps be as good as last year?

Will OUr RBs stay healthy?

Can OUr Defense improve?

If we get a Grad or JUCO QB how good will they be?

Will there be anymore transfers in like OL or DL?

Will highly touted Freshman Daxson or Wilborn see the field?

Will any true Freshman play?

Can we convince Burrow to end his retirement?

Will Frank still win the push-up contests?

The MAC is very competitive for the most part and many teams are close to one another in talent. Many of the Bobcat games were decided by one score or less and turnovers play a crucial part in determining the winner. For the most part if a team wins the turnover battle, they have a great opportunity to come out with a victory. Miami will be the favorite to win the East and Kent, Buffalo and Ohio will all be forecast close behind them.
