Amazing how disappointing this blog has gotten. Used to be we talked at least a little about Xs and Os. Now it’s more about attacking people you don’t agree with or apparently don’t like personally or who aren’t 100% correct. I guess that’s why I don’t visit here as often as I used to.
LOL, go back to any year and find a thread where people advocate for a kid with zero offers from FBS schools and tell me how that worked out. I’ve advocated for many SE Ohio kids, bu5 my record v the output speaks for itself. In 20 years on this board I challenge you to find a SE Ohio kid who could play that I’ve disparaged.
LC, you and I have had many private conversations here, when have I totally missed any boat on this topic?
None. You have been mostly accurate about which SE Ohio athletes could play, and which ones couldn't. In particular I recall you pointing out that Johnson was the one to offer Austin Pleasants, and that it was a good decision, while the prior OL coach wasn't interested. As I recall, you also had mixed feelings about the LB from Nelsonville, Edwards, I think, who ended up playing some, but wasn't a star. You were also correct that Roback was an athlete but would never be a QB for Ohio (he ended up at TE, and had one good year, including an important catch in the Spud Bowl, before a back injury ended his career.) You also specifically told me that the Luehrman twins were players (even though they had no other offers), and that, while it would take them extra time to learn to play with their hand on the ground, they would be excellent Tight Ends in a couple years.
