Simple question: which sport plays an actual, regular/post season game first? NBA, NFL, or MLB? Also, is it played with fans?

Consensus of my friends is that PGA comes before all three.

Of the three, my money's on MLB. There's less contact among players than the other two sports. They'll find some way to allow fans in. Maybe a body scanner that takes temperature readings. A special promotion could be "Mask Day" where fans get a mask with the team's logo on it.

I think it all depends on what Trump does when this first 15 day advisory is over. If he "opens things up," there will probably be a war between the states and the White House. Who will win is anyone's guess.

I think NBA. Fewer players to test. MLB will need some form of Spring Training to be ready.

I think once we see some progress, MLB should have the 7 AL teams in Arizona trade facilities with the 7 NL teams in Florida, then play a full schedule minus inter-league play at spring training facilities without fans. Warm climate, outdoor, non-contact, no travel. All night games to avoid the heat.

I suggested this on a baseball forum and was vilified as a reckless asshole and the post was deleted by admins. I guess I didn't learn my lesson.

Well, I think the Astros could get behind an idea with no fans, especially for road games.

Mark Cuban says the NBA will be back in mid-May, probably without fans. Given that "stay put" orders are up to the individual states and the virus is only now getting ramped up in many states, this might be a bit optimistic.
