Most MAC fans are already doing that.

They've been doing it for years, in fact!

For basketball, too!

I suppose in a way, that's true. Perhaps a nearly 100% empty stadium would get attention.

Yes as a good example was the Akron-BG basketball game at BG Tuesday evening for first place. Only 2900 attended the game.

For BG hoops, that's a step forward. I went to the first conference game at Stroh Center, and there were maybe 1100 in the building. Granted, there were no students, but still pretty light. BG did many things right with that building though, and now with a better squad, it seems they're starting to have a good home court atmosphere.

Yes BG is attracting a few more fans, but for 1st place in the MAC in late February and not even 3000 fans show up. Pretty lame. Guessing Miami and Eastern on some nights won't break 1000.

That's because Miami and Eastern have sucked for a long time. They've had a decade, maybe more, of graduates that have never seen them be even decent.

BG, conversely seems to be gaining momentum with success.

First time I was ever inside of Millett Hall was for a graduation so I didn't think anything of the layout. First time I saw a basketball game there it looked really awkward and still does. Miami's other facilities are quite nice, especially the new Goggin Ice Arena.

The Ice Arena is spectacular. It's a shame Millett was upgraded as part of some of their other projects.
