MOFO vs. NIU will be interesting if one or the other has a dominant performance to see who will give Ohio the better challenge.

I’d be surprised if NIU wins. Miami will start their run this weekend much like they did last year.

EMU - Buffalo is probably the game of the week, not NIU - Miami. Neither team is cooking with much gas. Though I suspect Miami wins pretty easily. NIU hasn't scored more than 10 since Week 1 vs Holy Cross. Miami, unfortunately, still looks like they could wake up and go on a run, depending on the health of Finn. Hesson, the back-up looks okay. Though he still only completed 13/21 for 200 yards vs Lindenwood.

I'm not sure if the Miami-NIU game is important if its close. Swing strongly one way or the other and could be an indicator who is OUT of the MAC race. Buffalo should probably beat EMU. If they lose its pretty bad indicator for them.

I’m not a fan of the MAC scheduling this year with some teams (like Buffalo) playing all 3 bottom dwellers (Akron, UMASS, KENT) and some of us playing 1. Not much room for a whoops loss.

I'd be more concerned about that if the goal for 2026 was to win 6 and make a bowl game rather than contending for the MAC title after 3 straight 10 win seasons. Toledo and BG already have 1 loss and after this weekend Miami or NIU will have one loss.

Theo Von on Gameday: Will I ever see you again?

Jessica Sims: No, I hope not.

Ditto. I think Buffs miss their starting QB.

Reality hits. We had too many defensive and special team losses to be the same kind of team as those three seasons. It will be a dogfight to win the MAC with two phases being in disarray.

The team dropped a MAC game against the lowest rated MAC school on this years schedule. If we played Akron or Kent today Ohio could have lost to them too.

Ugh, did you forget about UMASS? My point was that other schools have a better chance to win games and the MAC if have 3 weak teams on their schedule and we have one. Still stands.

We are at EMU, WMU and Buffalo. Room for error is gone after today. EMU puts up 227 yards rushing today and WMU gives up less than 300 yards total offense for the 3rd week in a row. Really surprised how our D didn't show in the 2nd half today.
