I have to admit that it is pretty entertaining and brought a smile to my face to see Timmy Albin's 49ers one spot above Fiami in ESPN's Bottom 10. Well-deserved guys!

I enjoy the amusement, but Miami is not a bottom 10 team. They had a pretty tough OOC so far. They'll be formidable in the MAC.

They well may win it. This is just one guys attempt to be funny and he usually is, but loves to pick on a few teams that are usually much better.

I absolutely agree and am not taking Fiami lightly. Just love that for this week Timmy and the Hawks are listed.

I've long considered Chuck Martin a Bottom 10 Coach. I had to laugh when I watched part of one of their recent games and the announcer said glibly, "Coach Martin is a master of clock management." I practically fell out of my chair when I heard that. I recall a game a few years ago when Miami, believe it or not, had a lead over Cincinnati in waning moments of the game. Martin's extremely poor clock management literally cost Miami that game as UC came back and won in the final seconds, when with better clock management UC would not have had the ball again.

He wouldn’t be the only coach to make bad clock management decisions but he’s won 2 MACC. I think the thing holding him back from being a better coach is his extremely conservative offensive approach-like kicking that FG in the first drive in the game in Detroit last year. Let’s hope he keeps it that way.

Saw that, and chuckled.

What's really kind of wild to me...

UNCC is currently almost a 70/30 split on pass v run yards. Which is pretty baffling to see from an Albin team. Likely cause they're always playing from behind, but it's kind of sad to see Tim can't even run the kind of offense he presumably wants, because they're so bad. (Bottom 15 offense in FBS, last in the American in points scored and rushing yards)

Their schedule isn't all that tough, so who knows if it gets better for them, they play USF this week and have some "winnable" games before going to UGA to lose by 175.

Miami should still be pretty good in MAC play, depending on the Finn injury, but they're pretty poo poo thus far.
