How come we haven't heard much about the MAC schedule (unless I'm missing it)? ACC, SEC, Big 10 all coming out. Once again, we look bush league. Of course, it's a money thing as we need those conference to be sustainable. But the MAC needs to get their voice out there. And, for that matter, so does the NCAA.

Please, NCAA, let this be the year that you say you're making changes (for a single year) to the bowl system. Hell, make it a bubble. 16 teams, four weeks. All conference winners get in, at large bids for the remainder, no other bowl games. Seems pretty straight-forward and the perfect year to give it a go.

All the G5 conferences are in limbo until the P12 and B12 make their final decisions regarding scheduling. Most of the "P"s are looking at 10-game schedules with all or nearly all being against conference opponents. Gs might try to fill in holes with other Gs but they might have to go conference-only as well.

The G5 schools aren't doing anything for legal purposes. If it looks like their hand was forced by the P5 schools, they can win that argument in court seven days a week and twice on Sunday. Would rather ensure they can still get paid for those games even though clearly they weren't going to make any attempt either to play the game

Sun Belt has authorized its teams to play eight conference games and up to four OOC games.

At this point we are playing, all our non-league contest are totally dependent upon the big boys and the little boys/other conferences. Not sure what you are looking for?

TV ratings will probably be up and advertisers might be forced to cough up more dough since fans can't be in the stands. I say that not just because the fans who would be in the stands will be watching but because there is just a high demand right now for live entertainment and college football will probably clean up TV-wise as long as it happens.

There's a reason D2 and D3 Fall Championships just got cancelled. There just simply won't be enough money to pay for all this.

The NBA spent $75 million on their bubble in Orlando between all the testing, quarantining of players and facilities. I'm afraid that some of these Group of Five schools just simply won't be able to do it financially, including Ohio.

Michigan just sent an email out talking about no football=$120 million hit for them. These schools, although we think they make a TON of money, are non-profits. Therefore, they have to spend profits or give back to the general fund. Not like they got a warchest sitting around like Apple does.

Aren't the TV contracts negotiated well in advance though? Why would the networks be open to paying more for something they've already negotiated?

I don't know. Just spitballing. Acts of God and such. Obviously d2 and d3 don't have tv contracts to fall back on. Do I feel bad that michigan or any bigtime school is going to lose a shit ton of money? Nope. not one bit. but I feel bad for the workers involved with gameday operations.
