Around the 32 minute mark Julie mentions the need to listen to all constituencies and opinions out there.

My opinion is athletics seems to have gone under ground since Nellis when it comes to capital improvement programs. That bar added into The Convo wasn't public until the day it opened.

Its driving the perception to go along with Frank's inability to progress the football program to win the MAC regularly and seriously contend for a CFP bowl that athletics is stagnant to the eye of the donor.

Communication to Ohio fans? Crickets. Maybe we're not high enough on the food chain.

Agree. My observation is that so far, even before the pandemic hit, her talk about open communication and her actual communication style have produced a credibility gap. Now, it's early enough in her tenure that she's got plenty of time to remedy that, and this pandemic period has made her job infinitely more difficult. So, I have hope "going forward," to use one of today's most hackneyed phrases, surpassed only, perhaps, by "it is what it is." Now, I love me as much as the next person a good tautology, but not when used ad nauseam.

I would extend that across the university. I've been getting short and to the point Covid updates from the president of Muskingum, my alma mater, since things shut down in March. No educational speak, no bs, just well written heart felt communication.

The stuff coming out of Cutler has boilerplate written all over it.

My dad is a Lehigh Alum.

Their Athletic Department is sending out a pretty good update, pretty much every week.

My other Alma Mater,FDU's communication,is about the same or a bit worse then O.U.

And speaking of communication, how about this survey that a friend of mine's daughter got yesterday about what her thoughts were on a graduation "ceremony" for this past spring.

Ok Alan, I will bite. How about it? Your thoughts?
It was intended for a recent graduate. Why did you choose to post it here?

I thought about a separate thread but this one had evolved into one discussing communications from the university or lack thereof. The interesting thing about this survey is that anyone can take it and it actually asks in question 2, if you answer no to question 1, which of five affiliated categories you fall in.

In talking to a limited number of parents of 2020 grads, many think the university totally botched graduation and that this survey provides three very lame "make ups."
