So who's taking the first snap at QB?

I'm thinking/hoping Julian Ross impresses this year.

I'm thinking Armoni first three series. Then Rourke 2.0 the next three. Then they go with the hot hand. I believe Armani gives us the best chance to win (stay healthy).

The 3-headed monster in OU's backfield is very exciting to think about.

I'm wondering who is going to step up and be the anchor on the defensive line. Will Denzel be the answer? Can't wait until Nov. 4th!!

I cant wait either for November 4th.

I love our running back group. Whoever found Tuggle, they are doing their job right. I like Ross' attitude. You see him on special teams and he brings it.
Tough dude.

Good question about the D-line The top three defensive ends have a good amount of experience. They havent made a bunch of splash plays but Conrad has shown some signs and may make some splash plays in 2020.

Kai Caesar has potential to be really good MAC DT. And it will be good to See Daxon in action-he could be a game changer. There are a couple of JUCOs in the mix for reserve roles and one of the younger dudes like Kylen McCracken or Burton will get a shot at some reps

Also very excited and might even consider it a 4-headed monster - don't forget RS frosh Walter Wilbon III.

Excat could be correct as both of the R@R guys should get playing time at QB.

In terms of RBs -- Tuggle's my man. I've liked him since the first time I saw him. His TD at Pitt was a real beauty -- good speed, power and just enough elusiveness. Then when I heard him interviewed I was even more impressed. Well spoken young man, who is team oriented and obviously a good student.

Of the questions that surround the QB position and the graduation of Rourke...one won't arise...that's size.

Can anyone remember having this much QB size across the top 3 on the depth chart? Rogers at 6-5 225, Rourke at 6-3 215, and Harris at 6-3 200 (and he'll get bigger with time on campus in the weight room).

We've played with some "undersize" QBs in the past (Sprague, Tettleton). Maxwwell and Duckworth were good size, but neither of them became the long-term starter for us.

Totally forgot about WW3. Hopefully we can use him during goal line later in the season when other teams haven't seen too much film on him.

This is what excites me the most about Armoni. He is like our version of Tyree Jackson from Buffalo but more of a true dual threat. Tyree was mobile enough to escape the pocket and get first downs. However, Armoni runs like the 4th leg anchoring a relay team. His size (against undersized MAC LBs) and good speed pits us in good position. Plus not too many MAC teams have played against him before so they won't know how to adjust to him until halftime.

I just hope he stays healthy....gets down when he needs to, runs out of bounds to avoid hits....play smart. I have a feeling we will be more of a 70/30 run team this year...more ball control than points scored. And we will throw more near goal line with bigger receivers which I'm really excited about. Imagine MAC teams hogging the line to stop Armoni's read-opton read and then he pulls it and flicks it to Hooks for an alley-oop TD.

Teams aren't going to sit back. They will press and hog the LOS. So I hope Isphording has him throwing in the net and bucket shots at both corners of the endzones.

Teams will have to catch him first, maybe the biggest running threat OHIO ever had at QB.

Dontrelle and Nathan are still the top QBs to me in that regard. He has a chance though.
