Figured some of you here would get a kick out of this, especially OCF. Bought mine in Army colors. Too bad we can't get a hunter green and white version to remember the Grobe days.

Totally agree BTC. Of course he is a lot taller than Kareem Wilson but would love to see Steveland Hookfin in the backfield with him.

I saw Kareem Wilson play for OU against Army at West Point in a battle of triple option offenses in 1996. I was 14 years old. Cool subplot to that story: somehow, when I was a freshman at OU in 2001, Kareem Wilson was still around campus.

Just facebooked Kareem Wilson. Lots of them. Easy to find ours. Profile photo shows him holding a baby boy. Says he works in construction and studied at Ohio university.

Frank did run out of the single wing as a tailback in high school

I’m going to take this thread title seriously and agree that we should find a way to implement the triple option offense. Armani Rogers could absolutely play fullback.

Yeah, I’m gonna disagree on that for multiple reasons.

Frank needs to start recruiting more fullbacks. He is one of the greatest fullbacks of all time. Bet we could pull in some elite fullbacks for this new triple option system.

One of my favorite moments from the Akron game is how Rogers was running an option with allison near the goal line and just sprinted past allison, who was supposed to be the outside pitchman, and used allison as a lead blocker to score the td. That is not how N Rourke ran it but it was very cool.

May have been cool, but that’s not fundamentally how you run the option.
