Weather Channel's first look at Mt. Pleasant's weather for Nov 4 doesn't look too bad: High 57, low 42, 10% chance of rain.

Is this game really on ESPN? The menu on Hulu doesn't show it anywhere.

Wonder if/when we get the game notes so we can see some form of a 2-deep.

My guess is next Monday 11/1 we will see game notes
Two deep will be interesting but in previous years it has 2-3 names at each position. I think Frank likes to keep competition going at every position.

If we win the East and win the MACC, is there also a chance at a bowl game?

Gotta remember with Covid ruining all sports seasons, they don't have anything to play on a weeknight that they normally would. I would guess this would normally be preseason NBA?

Yes, and the next week vs. Akron is on CBS Sports Network. Other games to be determined later, but probably TV in the third week (Miami) too.

Bowl games might depend on whether state and local officials allow travel, fans and other activities when we get to December and January. The TV networks would be willing to have the games even without fans so it can get the advertising revenue. But for the local areas, it's a matter of getting ticket money, tourist dollars and fundraising for whatever charity is usually associated with the bowl.

Because the NCAA has made every team bowl eligible this year, all conferences will likely fill all their bowl slots and at-large bids will likely all go to "P" teams. So the MAC will probably be left with just its tie-ins. This year the MAC has five bowl tie-ins still in play: two in Alabama, and one each in Idaho, Arizona and Michigan. The Bahamas and Hawaii bowls have been cancelled because of travel restrictions, while the Redbox and Holiday bowls were cancelled largely because of local restrictions on fans at games. The New Mexico Bowl may be next because the virus is out of control there. If states can't get covid under control by the middle of November, more bowls will likely be cancelled.

Frank wins his first MACC this year. Mark it down. Starts with a close win over CMU. MACC might have an asterisk, but it'll be a good start with more to come. With the RBs we have, his team will be vintage Solich with a run-first mentally.

For regular season games, I believe the 2011 Blackout game vs. Temple was the first (one of my all-time favorites), 2012 Penn State was also on ESPN (still hold it against ESPN that they interviewed O'brien after the game and not Frank). Aside from bowl games, that is all, I believe.

Probably the 2013 L'ville Labor Day game we'd all like to forget. The Phantom Safety Game that year was on the Deuce.

Looks like the weather is going to be ideal. The latest from the Weather Channel is clear with a high in the mid 60s and a low in the upper 40s. Should be in the 50s during the game. So unlike Michigan in November.

I'll take that. Vegas is essentially saying on a neutral field that Ohio is the better team. And if Moore doesn't play, I like those odds even better.

Showing up as a Pick now. Looks like a lot of people like Ohio in this one.

Love the Cats but don't bet the farm on CMU losing.

I too am surprised by the -1.5 point spread. I know it's the first game of the year but being it's @ CMU I expected a spread between 6-10 points.

I've been thinking that a key to this season will be the play from DE Will Evans and Amos Ogun-Semore. Both have shown potential but have been MIA at times over the past 2 seasons as well. And now I don't even see Ogun-Semore on the depth chart.
