Maybe it's based on exit polls. Giuliani starts our litigation and lobbying effort as soon as he gets out of the hospital.

Ha-Ha . . . lots of politics in many threads here since the election. I thought that was against the board rules. Maybe I'm wrong. I've been mainly a lurker. Don't really care, but why have rules if they are not enforced?

What Giuliani's doing for the current occupant of the White House has nothing to do with politics and hasn't for several weeks. It's about feeding one man's enormous ego that won't let him admit defeat. He's never admitted defeat in private life and has always blamed other people for his failures. That's why he sent his "personal" lawyer around the country on this absurd mission.

Hugo infiltrated Daktronics, there is currently proof being uploaded to Youtube. Hugo added an algorithm that counted every 3rd basket that Ohio and CSU made into 1.9 extra points for OHIO. Heard that CSU is considering legal action.

In 1978, Boston College was involved in a point shaving scandal, so it's really important that we get to the bottom of this, even if there's no actual evidence of any sort of fraud, and because of BC in the 70s, it's perfectly justifiable if Mark Emmert spends the next month tweeting about how there's been massive, widespread fraud and this game was stolen.

In fact, it's not a big deal at all that Cleveland State's still in the Convo refusing to leave and insisting they won, nor is it at all worrying that former members of Cleveland State's administration are calling on CSU's President to declare whatever the college basketball equivalent of martial law is.

Soooo, if Akron beats Buffalo, then Ohio is off to the MACC?! Think of how crazy this could possibly turn out. Ohio didn’t have to play Buffalo, Kent State or Miami and only beat Akron and BG, and is still alive to play for a MAC Championship. If that doesn’t sum up how crazy 2020 has been, nothing does. Wow

Ohio won't have enough games to qualify.

According to ESPN MAC teams have to play only three games this season to qualify for the MACCG. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/30217094...

The killer is that the first criterion for determining winners apparently is winning percentage. At worst, Buffalo would be .800 (4-1). Kent and maybe Fiami will finish at .750 (3-1), and Ohio at .667 (2-1). So unless there's some kind of super double-secret way of determining a winner, the best Ohio can finish is third (if Fiami loses or doesn't play this week).

Not true, you only needed to play 3, which Ohio has. Ohio is still alive.

Steinbrecher stated before the season that winning percentage would be the #1 determining factor unless both teams had the same number of losses (if UB loses they'd match OU with 1 loss), then you would go head to head (which won't apply because they didn't play. So here's when Ohio could advance - if UB lost to Akron, OU would have the better divisional record. And there's the opening. Crazy, but that's where things stand.

The Zips are on a roll; 31 against a difficult BGSU (cks) team that held the Bobcats to under 60.

Trouble is, nothing is in writing so there's a lot of wiggle room. Frankly, there's no way the MAC would put in the MACCG a team that played the minimum number of games and beat only the worst two teams in the division instead of a team that played nearly a full abbreviated schedule, has been nationally ranked, has beaten two of the best teams in the division, and has a legitimate Heismann candidate. That would really make this MAC season a flat-out joke.

And as I stated earlier, this is over, it's simple math. You just added up all the variables and found X. There is no other choice but Buffalo in what is this season.

It's official, the MAC finally named Buffalo the East Champion.

From the MAC:

The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced today that the University at Buffalo has clinched the MAC’s East Division title and will play in the Conference’s Football Championship Game, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 18 at Ford Field in Detroit. The game will be played at 7:30 pm ET on ESPN. The Bulls will play the winner of Saturday’s Western Michigan at Ball State game, scheduled for 12 Noon ET on ESPN+. Prior to Tuesday, Dec. 8 COVID-19 institutional testing, potential scenarios existed concerning rescheduled games that did not allow the Conference to declare Buffalo East Division champions.
