Muschamp's gone after 2-5 start.

Been wondering how long Harbaugh has at Michigan after losing yet another game to MSU and losing badly to Indiana and at home to Wisconsin.

“Playing second fiddle” in the state for some time was probably tough enough for many Gamecocks fans but being recognized now as third fiddle, at least per the polls, sure didn’t extend their patience with the coach in my opinion.

Can't blame South Carolina on this one. Unfortunately in terms of SEC Jobs not the highest per se, but one that should be better than it's current state.

That said, would have to think Hugh Freeze goes on a redemption tour to this job and makes the East a living hell......

Getting Mr. Freeze might be cost prohibitive. He just signed an extension through 2026. Terms weren't announced and probably won't be because Liberty is a private school, but ESPN's Chris Low says the deal is "lucrative" and "would place him among the top five highest-paid non-Power Five head coaches in college football." That means he'll be making at least $2 million a year. A buyout this early in the contract might be pretty steep.

I have no football insight, but by all accounts, Muschamp is a terrible human being and Harbaugh is not. It's nice to see the Muschamps of the world get thrown out.

Wait, what did Muschamp do? (To be clear, I’m not doubting you or being sarcastic, I’m just not sure what you’re referring to)

You must not know anyone who actually has to work with or for Harbaugh.

I'm with BillyTheCat on this one......

Quite the opposite actually. Muschamp is a good guy off the field, and Harbaugh is well....he is what he is.

Leopold or Davis would make a great replacement. Davis fits more with Kent's offense at SC.

Yeah, not sure what deadspin has to do with this. Again, know several who work at USC, and he is a good dude, well liked.

Knowing several students in the athletic department down there - he's a but of an arrogant dick (though not at the Gregg Marshall level...but same kinda of things). Guess it depends on who you know and how they interact with said individual.

I think the clear choice for USC is Jim McIlwain.
