That extra point didn't look very good either.

Fortkamp is our new kicker. Made it off a terrible snap. Great job!

Very athletic sack by Thompson. That was a nice leap!

28 point favorite? Give me a break. I hope they get it together for the FIAMI game. Lots of areas to be concerned about to say the least.

I hate to say it but we always think we're better than we really are. It's so frustrating as a Bobcats fan.

Defensive line has too many missing parts. If we get one or two of them back we should see some improvement. Guys like Mathews seemed to play well in their place.

Offensive line needs improvement at left tackle. Not sure we have anyone who can fill that void.

Rodgers needs more reps at QB and maybe even Harris.

If nothing else we fought hard tonight.

Dollard had 165 yards on 22 carries. That scares me for Buffalo week with Marks Jr and Patterson.

Hooks, Cox and Tuggle deserve better. Heck, the Luehrmann twins deserve better. Where is McCrory? Really thought he would be a game changer.
Feel the same about McCrory. He wasn’t in a great amount of time last year but, when he was, particularly late in the season, I thought he looked like one of the best LBs out there. Now he doesn’t even see the field. As a football fan it’s kind of humbling for me because, even though I’ve watched a lot of football over the years, I‘ve apparently not learned much about what constitutes good play and what doesn’t. And no, I don’t know any of the players, including him.

A big cog that's missing from this year's offense is the option. Kurtis has slow feet so we run it only when Armani is in, and even then it's really not an option because Armani usually winds up carrying the ball. Haven't seen anyone out on the edge for him to pitch it to. Maybe with more RBs available next week we can do more of that (Allison was dressed tonight but didn't play.)

A win is a win, but this felt like a loss. We got two takeaways inside the Akron 20 and wound up with no points. Akron may be the worst team in the league but we give up a 97-yd TD drive. They outdid us on TOP by nine minutes, total yds by about 130 and plays 72-50.

One consolation for next week is that Fiami looks terrible tonight vs Buffalo. They're down 42-7 in the 4th quarter. Their secondary is getting riddled by Buffalo; they just gave up an 82-yd TD pass and have been hit for 356 yds and 4 TDs through the air with about 13 minutes to go. Gabbert left last week's game with a head injury and hasn't played tonight. If he's out next week we'll have a decent chance at a win.

Solich said after the game he feels decent about Rourke and Rodgers but his main concern was getting a push from the offensive line which happened he felt from the last drive.

He though the defense gave up too much yardage which partially kept the score down. If not for the two missed FGs it was a 30-10 ball game with the poor field position.

Allison played tonight, but only had a handful of carries.

The missed fgs are bad but I'm more concerned about getting the ball twice inside the zippy 20 and not even getting close to the endzone. Zippy.

This offense is not even slightly dangerous right now. It might be someday
but it's not now.

Holder fumbled the low snap. Actually a very good kick with the situation.

Yeah. The team doesn't look very good. They didn't look good last week either. The defense can't tackle or produce many stops. The offense looks disjointed and impotent on a lot of drives. The offense looks to have some talent and may gel, but a defense that is weak against both the run and pass leaves me pretty pessimistic about the prospects this year.

Cats lost that something like 24-21?

I certainly see some of the same issues with the defense you see, yet the result has been just 40 points given up in two games. It's also encouraging to know the defense has given up just 13 points in the second half of two games, all of this with some key guys missing.
