Since this is a major topic, and all important to the success this year, it would be great if there was someway to track injuries.
Anyone know how to track and inform all on this board?

The bad news is that every team has them.

The good news is that we have more depth than I can ever remember.

And coaches are super paranoid opposing teams will use that info to beat them.

This all shows why it's so great to have an Arkley at practices to identify which players were being held out or didn't look quite right. Unfortunately, Arkley is apparently working for/with a marketing company in Cleveland so he seems to be out of the picture. We'll just have to rely on the Post.

Wondering what the coverage is like in the Messenger. Any locals care to weigh in? I had a subscription when Arkley was covering the Cats.
Does the Messenger have the resources to provide that level of coverage these days?

The other bad news is that, with 3-4 exceptions, every team in the country has more depth than anyone can remember

Sounds like Keye Thompson will be out for a while but there's some good competition happening at the LB position.

Also, the only real coverage I can find on fall camp besides twitter is the Athens Post, as probably mentioned in other threads.

It doesnt look like the in-depth coverage Arkley use to provide, not close to it. Plus i'm not sure that anyone at the Messenger had Arkley's understanding of Ohio football or players like Arkley did, which makes sense as Arkley provided the main coverage.

The online Ohio university sports section in the messenger has visible headlines without subscription and the last football-related article I can see is about Tettleton on July 23. There are no headlines about even basic stuff like the offensive coordinator announcement. I dont see one article about training camp.

A couple things here.

I think a lot of the depth across the roster is much more due to quality underclassmen than it is super seniors. that is a great thing because that is a good sign for the future. Ohio's defense has a chance to be really good this year or next year.

I dont know of one source for injuries but just what you can get from reviewing reports from the Athens Post or on twitter every few days. The injuries i know of so far are Keye Thompson, out for 'a while.' Back up DE Bryce Stai is in the hospital with what is reportedly a non-football related health issue.

Russ Eisenstein interviewed HC Albin after the scrimmage today and Albin said he was had yet to review the post-scrimmage injury report but what he thought was that it was nothing serious, just the regular camp bumps and bruises.

Albin also said he liked from the linebackers, that the group had real good speed and closed gaps quickly.

You can see Eisenstein's entire post-scrimmage interview with Albin here:
