My son told me this evening that it was posted on Ohio Bobcats Facebook page that Rufus was scheduled to be at Chillicothe Kroger (post didn’t list which one…Bridge St. or Western Ave.) today at 2:00 PM. Also scheduled for Waverly and Jackson today. He said they were at the Bridge Street store at 2:15 and Western at 2:40. No Rufus. Anyone know what happened. My five year old grandson was disappointed. Hopefully all is OK. I understand this Kroger’s Tour is sponsored by People’s Bank.

Don't know about our Rufus but I saw a story about someone in Arizona who took pity on a Rufus who showed up in their back yard. With temps around 120, that Rufus really looked to be in sad shape. The homeowner sneaked out and turn on the hose. The Rufus crept over and drank water for about five minutes, then lay down in the wet grass. Eventually the Rufus felt well enough to move on. Good to see people lending a hand during the western heat wave.
