Williams's block looked clean from 4 rows up at peden. How about on TV replay?

Kinda got a laugh out of the fact that we thought about the FG, but pooch punted it instead. Yeah...

Great start, but not liking the way things were trending there. At least our defense held steady.

Very interested to see how the offense looks coming out of the half. That will tell us a lot.

Duncan Brune: A guy I'm rooting for.

27-8 Ohio. Typical PAT missed.

Well, I feel MUCH better about the offense and MUCH worse about Special Teams.

I don't want to sound harsh towards Dellenbach / Peacock, but they just haven't proven to have "it" as Kickers.

We gotta go back to do homework on Special Teams.

And the one time we don't kick it off into the end zone?
Based on the kickoffs so far it appears wind was an issue on the short kickoff they returned 70 yards. Any kickoff in into the other end of the field was carrying out of the end zone.

I am assuming the coaches were calling for the shorter kick this is why I call them the stupidiest coaching staff in country when it comes to kickoff. They have refused to kick the ball into the end zone too much this year.

LOL. No, they are kicking into the wind as I posted above. All the kicks towards other end of field carried into the end zone or beyond it. Announcers also mentioned the other way was into the wind when we may have considered a FG.

One thing I'd like to see out of the "Open up the Playbook" category:

Bangura + Brune both in the backfield at the same time. Full House look + Navarro and whoever else.

Recurring sequence I've noticed in most of our games this year:

1st Down: Our D gets a big play, like a sack or TFL
2nd Down: Opposing O gets back up with an okay play
3rd Down: Big play TD for the Opposing O

It's like our D rests when they get their big play, and then other stuff happens.

Give me a break the flags are barely moving there isn’t that much wind. And if you’re gonna kick it short, at least put it in the air so that you have some hang time.

Back on schedule. PLENTY to sort out still - penalties on offense, special teams, etc.

Went easy on them and still put up 48.

Huge game by Brune. That was sweet. Love seeing your back-up rack up 125+ yards.

And another week where I can’t fathom how the kickers are on scholarship. It’s almost hilarious at this point. The lack of talent is art. I think we’re being punked. And then he had to punt? Because he can’t kick a 35 yard field goal. And it went all of 21 yards. Incredible stuff.

I'll take the dub. Good to see some old faces back in town this weekend.. HOWEVER, I will feel a bit better if we clean up some of the stupid penalties. We will not compete against the rest of the MAC schedule if we continue the sloppiness.

The wind doesn't explain the squib kick. And one of the short ones appeared to me to be the dreaded "area kick." I don't think the wind, which was relatively mild, explains all the variables at play here. I tend to agree with you, Casper. I don't believe the wind theory. It just wasn't that much of wind -- maybe 5 mph.

When I was just a little boy, I asked my mother what will I read?
Will I read stupid things on Bobcatattack? Here’s what she said to me:
Que Sera, Sera Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours to see
Que Sera, Sera, what will be, will be
Que Sera SERAAAAAAAAA!!

And it should've been 56. Had a TD and a 2-pt conversion on another TD called back for penalties.

Agree with your assessment of the kickers. I get squeamish every time they come onto the field. Gotta have more reliable kicking to get into the MACCG.

My own thoughts on this game via recap stream.

The Pass D needs to fix some things. Special Teams is becoming a circus that shouldn't be.

Nice farewell to the Huskies.
2/3 of the team played well, 1/3 not so much, although the long punt return by Hendricks was great.
