exactly! But man this board will be electric when we beat Syrcause, someone will even talk about Top 25 and how great a season we are going to have.
Forget about talking about being top 25 or how great a season Ohio is going to have. This board will go straight to advocating an expansion of Peden to 45,000.
I mean... we should, IMO. Have to prep for that AAC invite after UCF, Houston, and Cincy go to the Big XII
It's easy to think that if this were to happen that the AAC does not add anyone as a full member. You no longer need a 12 teams to have a championship game. It might just dilute existing revenue and dilute each schools chance at an NCAA automatic bid in most other sports. Plus, there is the option of Wichita St reviving football or Army coming in as a football only member like Navy.

They already have only 11 teams since UConn went indy, so if they lose three they could still do a championship game. If they lose more, having a championship with only six or seven teams might be a tough sell (they have to have at least six teams to still be a conference). Plus depending on who they might lose, the networks would probably want to renegotiate their TV deal.

Doubt that Army would come in to the AAC. They want the game with Navy to be the last regular season game of the year for all of 1A/FBS football, even after conference championship games. That can't happen if they're in the same conference and it has a championship game; their game might affect who plays for the conference championship. If they need to add teams, look for them to raid some of the more successful teams from other G5 leagues.

DeVito has an NFL arm but his downside is he doesn't escape a collapsing pocket. He is not good on rollout pass accuracy. His speed is solid but isn't shifty.

Shrader has the legs and escape abilities but his arm isn't as good.

My feeling is Schrader will be a red zone problem for teams.

We'll see next Sat night.

I seriously doubt Wichita State would try to revive its football program. They do not have any type of football program and old Cessna Stadium would take some serious $$$ to bring it back as a modern football stadium. As a matter of fact, the Kansas Board of Regents approved the demolition of the stadium in April, 2020, although it is still standing. The Koch family has heavily invested in Wichita State over the years and Charles Koch Arena (WSU basketball) is fantastic, but I do not think Wichita State would throw serious money at starting a football program from scratch. They spend serious $$$ on all of their other sports, especially the basketball programs.

45,000 is not big enough. 60,000 minimum. My forecasts show a booming Athens real estate market in the coming years.
