Does anyone know the deal with Denzel Daxon? Wasn't he supposed to potentially be a beast based upon the hype generated by him previously committing to two big-time programs? This is his second year in the program, right? We sure could use some help in the middle of the line on defense.

I would like the answer to this question too. He was reported to have been practicing with the team a just a few months ago. But, when the season started he seemed to disappear into some kind of anti-matter vortex.

I was wondering this also. This tweet from Arkley earlier this month is the only thing I’ve seen.

I saw him in street clothes on the sidelines. He congratulated Wilson on his 50+ yard punt during the BG game

I’m not sure he’s eligible....waiting on NCAA decision?

The Wiz White of this generation? In all seriousness I can’t imagine the frustration some of these kids feel waiting for the NCAA to decide their fate.

What decision? He’s a Junior who just enrolled, he needs to be on a degree path to be eligible. Had a death in the family according to Arkley.

Just seems strange if he was in street clothes....must be more than a death in the family.

Coaches aren't rushing him nor do they need to. He has 2 years of eligibility after this season.

This year does not count, so he could play and still have two years. Are you saying that NO game competition will speed his development vs getting some actual game reps? Especially when it’s free eligibility wise?

Especially when he might be the best player on our D line and could help the Bobcats win games?

Perhaps not the latest information, and maybe the situation has changed, but Frank indicated on his October 19th coach’s show that they were still waiting to see if Daxon is eligible. I don’t think he made any reference as to why however (about 44’ mark of that broadcast). I assumed it had to do with the NCAA making a decision but that may not be the case.

FWIW, Daxon is listed on the two-deep behind Caesar this week in the game notes. I do believe this is the first time he has appeared on the depth chart.

It also lists Rourke as the starting QB despite last weeks injury, so who knows what to believe.

Maybe got in for one series.

I thought he was in more than that. I did notice when he was in the game that they kept moving him around from position to position. At one point they had him playing essentially defense end. Guess they have not yet figured out how best to use him. This kind of surprised me given how long he's been on campus. I hope they figure it out soon.

Maybe it’s because Syracuse was so afraid of his dominance that they were going to audible and run away from him. They watched his film and got scared of the 21 year old tossing 16 year old linemen.

He’s been on campus almost 3 years and you don’t think the coaches know how to use him? Funny, when Frank was here, we had the best staff, and now he’s gone the same people have no clue? You actually read the stuff you post?

I believe this was his first actual game. Sometimes game situations are a bit different than practices. Just a bit surprised the way they moved him around. If it was to put fear in the hearts of the Syracuse offense, it didn't work. BTW, the guy who sits next to me at Peden, a former PAC broadcaster, noted the same thing and also found it curious. If you think it's SOP, fine. I sometimes get the impression you like to argue for the sake of arguing. That's OK, we love you anyway!

Did Duquesne with their freshman center run away from him all day as well? Only watched the 1st QTR, but really heard or seen him.
