Coming into this year even Frankless I had some expectations for players and team success. You could plug in a bunch of players into these categories but I’ve elected to mention one player for each one.

As Expected

Alvin Floyd looks like a DB we will need this year to lead the secondary. A 3 time Captain in HS in Miami Floyd has a tough job with this team.



Better Than Expected

Michael Ballentine

Michael’s Mentor HS program was a Ohio HS runner up so he comes from a decent program. He will need to continue to make a bunch of tackles if OUr D-line continues to be porous.



Less Than Expected

Daxon

At O and 3 this could be the largest group. D-line so far is getting manhandled. He came to us as a supposed 4 star guy who had signed with Miami and Louisville. SW Louisiana had a ton of transfers and they of course can make a difference. As of now this guy who came to us compared to Ndamukong Suh looks like A Boy Named Sue.


With all my wailing and nashing of teeth I still think we have a chance to win a few games this year.

Do we play Bishop Sycamore?

A “boy named Sue” was a tough guy brawler. I think the descriptor you’re looking for is “a boy named Reginald Archibald Rockefeller Vanderbilt III”

If nothing else, the player with that name would hopefully bring a deep pocketed pedigree to help upgrade facilities and the like.

I agree with everything Doc said, but I do think you, Pataskala, came up with the proper name for our most disappointing recruit since W. T. Sherman was coaching our rugby team.
