I guess none of this really matters, but...

Why do the yard markers and the midfield logo look so worn out? It looks terrible on television.

Why do we have at least two guys on the sideline wearing cowboy hats? I hope to God it's some kind of motivational schtick like a turnover chain.

I shouldn't criticize enthusiasm, but can we please nip this "Go Bobbies" thing in the bud?

Also, you whippersnappers get off my lawn!

1. Time for new turf I’d assume.

2. So that’s Jake and another strength coach Ben. Jake came from Arkansas State. They were notorious for wearing like Halloween masks and stuff on the sideline and getting people pumped up. Think what the ULL sideline did to us when they came to town. Jake is intense but in a GREAT way.

3. I’ve never understood where it came from either. At my new position they PREACH following branding guidelines. Seems interesting they’re leaning into non-trademark things.

1. I agree, I know we probably don't have the means to get new turf, but at the very least we could get facilities out their to lay down some new paint. I understand it is a bandaid for now, but that bandaid will really make the Bobcat green POP on television.

2. I'm sick of all the rah rah "shtick" crap, cowboy hats included. A cowboy hat won't get you very far against a Tampa 2. And when I say Tampa 2, I'm not talking about my 1984 prom date.

3. I think the jury is still out on the whole "Go Bobbies", better than "Roll Cats" I'll say that much

I’ve never seen another D-I program’s logo ever get that dingy. It’s embarrassing.

I have to agree. The field looked like it had long term after effects of covid. This is pretty new turf too. Sickly. Anyone check its blood oxygen levels?

Can we have whoever's broadcasting the game slap a new CGI Attack Cat logo at midfield at least until we can afford new real one? I mean they have CGIed advertising logos for some games. Why not an Attack Cat?

Believe it or not, that rah rah shtick helps in recruiting. You’re correct in thinking you shouldn’t need it to win, get hyped up, etc… But everything from what’s/what’s not posted on social media, videos, game day atmosphere (sidelines and stands), etc they’re looking at it all. That’s why at your larger schools you have a whole staff dedicated to just that stuff.

The turf was new in 2013. Seems 10-12 years is about the shelf life for a turf. I've seen Kent's turf in particular always look rough.

And "Roll Bobbies" sucks. I saw a lot of Marching 110 shirts yesterday. What if instead of Roll Bobbies or OU, Oh Yeah, just "110" became the slogan? Like War Eagle or Fire Up, Chips.

This might be my imagination but it seemed that there was a lot of rust on the top of the crossbar of the goalpost where the goalpost cam was located. A couple of times they panned down during a replay and it looked like the crossbar could use a new paint job. It seemed a little shabby.

110? That wouldn't make much sense to me, honestly. If you don't like Roll Bobbies, fine. But if I'm some blue chip recruit from Florida, let's just say, I wouldn't have the darndest idea what "110" means. Don't know if that necessarily helps our Bobcat brand.

I believe "110" refers to how many yards there are on a field, any "blue chip" recruit should know how many yards there are on a field.

Counting the end zones, there are 120 yds on a field. Now, if you're recruiting Canadian players....

Given our recent success in Canada, we should probably keep tabs on how many yards there are on a pitch! ROFL

Success? That's a loose term. There is a reason hockey is the #1 sport in Canada, and it's not because it's cold 13 months out of the year up there. My suggestion is we stop looking north and head to the recruiting hotbeds of the deep south.

I think there must be a Canuck among us -- given the length of US football fields is 100 yards, not including end zones. We welcome all those from north of the border and hope you keep sending good players our way!

If you're a blue chip recruit from Florida (or most other parts), you're unfortunately not going to be taking an official visit to Pedan

Speaking of such, would CFL/American football be the only instance where yards are used in anything being measured in Canada?

"War Eagle" makes no sense for a team nicknamed the Tigers, but it's a brand now.

And, you'd be ashamed of me if I didn't chime in to tell you that the "War Eagle" cheer has roots in the late rebellion: http://www.auburn.edu/wareagle/index.php
