My guess is the MAC sets the schedule and the individual schools set the Homecoming game. Looking at our home schedule, October 9th was the best bet for great fall weather.

On the other hand, sometimes it backfires and Homecoming is made even less enjoyable than having been beaten by someone most would consider more formidable. Right Minnesota? :)
