I got into the Hampton Inn North Shore/Skokie for points.
The boy and I drive to Chicago after school Friday and hope to hit up Portillo's at least twice.

Our first game in Evanston. Just hoping for nice weather. Zero expectations football-wise, but happy to be back at an Ohio game for the first time since the Before Times.

I cannot cancel my trip or I would. Going to be awesome to hear about Wisconsin and NW the whole weekend. I'll be hiding under the stadium somewhere while my Family will be in the stadium.

I’d hide at Mustard’s Last Stand

I'll be there +3, almost exclusively to enjoy Chicago. Much more excited to see a day game at Wrigley on Friday than to watch this inept team on Saturday.

5th year in a row I’ve done a big trip of family and friends. 18 of us alums this year.
Lucked out with a Cubs game on Friday and watching Blueman Group. Mostly in an AirBnB.
Game will be … fun?

You know things are bad when we’re being called the inept team instead of a ripped-down-to-the-studs Cubs team.
The Ricketts are like, “SEE!?! We’re only halfway awful!”

I mentioned in the game thread, but if you're going and don't have tickets yet, or are considering, check out the resale market. Vivid Seats has tons of tickets under $10.

Yep. I got four on StubHub right at midfield and down low for $18 apiece. I suppose having a team that sucks at least offers that advantage.

The Shutdown Fullcast is going to ironically attend the Vanderbilt-UConn game next week. Tickets for that one are going for $4 and parking is $40. This game is similar in pricing.
I got mine for $13 a seat.

For those taking the L around town this weekend I would highly recommend getting the Ventra card on your phone, or a paper weekend pass. A 3 day pass on the app will run you $15 each but you'll have unlimited rides. It's also good to be able to locate nearby busses and trains. If you don't want to sign up for a Ventra card you can always pay with a tab enabled (RFID) credit card at the station before boarding. If you're staying in town for Sunday afternoon there's a Browns bar up by Wrigley which also happens to be my favorite bar - Old Crow. Hope to see you all out at the game!

I was in Chicago earlier the week at The OMNI at Huron and Michigan. I was going to meet some other alums in Evanston but everyone dropped out due to lack of interest in this team. Flew home Thursday. We will all reconnect in Naples in January.

Just upgraded to (what appears to be) the front row at the 50 (section 108, row 5) for $33 each on tickpick. Best seats I've had since I was a student
