If Brooks Rossman could actually kick a football, OHIO beats Marshall and changes a couple other games.

Until he got to Kansas State and the football psychologist there did a little head shrinking!

I'll be watching and rooting as usual, and as Ernest Lawrence Thayer said in his famous baseball poem I'll have "that hope that springs eternal in the human breast." But, we all know what happened to Casey.

I guess that won't give you time to get to Chillicothe's Grandview Cemetery for the re-dedication of the monument for BG Joshua Woodrow Sill, an important figure in Ohio and US Army history.

Live music provided by the 73rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment Band (with a 110 connection) Music pre and post ceremony. Music starts at 12:45PM and bring your own seating.

I'm also missing the dedication of a Civil War soldier's grave in Meigs County that starts at about the same time as the game kickoff. The solider's name is Loren H. Miles, who was a private in the 30th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and spent part of the war as a POW in Atlanta. This grave was apparently never marked (or maybe an original wooden marker that quickly rotted away) and it was only discovered via sophisticated technology. I would love to be there, but being a Bobcat fan comes first!

As a Bobcat, I would say that ranks about 9 million times higher than any game we can get beat down in.

NWern just got a huge gift to help redo their stadium and for some other projects. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32257846...

Maybe we should start a Gofundme account to fix up Peden.

According to Vividseats, there are a gazillion seats available for resale ridiculously cheap, like under $20. I know Ryan Field has a lot of bad sight angles, but many of those are going for under $10.

We have the misfortune -- or maybe the luck -- to be playing at the same time Wisconsin is playing Notre Dame right across town at Soldier Field. Even die-hard NWern fans will be there, or in a sports bar watching it.

I'm seeing our game as the selection on YouTubeTV in Cincinnati. Don't know if YTTV geolocates you, though.

Somewhat appropriately, we're on BTN's alternate channel.

I may be totally off base with these thoughts on tomorrows game but wanted to share them anyway.
After having read JA's article it appears that NW has some serious deficiencies. So many so that it has given me some real positive thoughts on this opportunity for our boys.
Northwestern has so many issues; QB play, turn overs, poor scoring, poor defense, etc. Yes, they have big O & D lines, which seems to be their only strength.
If we are able to force some turnovers I think we could actually win this one.

I'm glad you posted your thoughts and I like the positivity-I hope Ohio can find a way to win also.

Glad JA is finding some positivity too but stats can be hard to wrap your arms around sometimes, especially early in the season. Yes, the Wildcats are 105th in the FBS in rushing yards allowed but two of the three teams they played are also in the top 16 in rushing yards gained. Northwestern allowed 260 yards rushing to that Michigan State back but that same MSU back also gained almost 200 against Miami, Fla., so maybe part of the issue is that the Wildcats just faced some really good rushing offenses? Time will tell

I think Ohio has some chance to win but I'd feel a lot better if Ohio had one side of the ball at least was playing with some consistency.

The biggest surprise so far for Ohio is the Offense, I really thought they'd be better than they have.

I think though, to be fair, that the missing players on Offense has been a real valid issue, missing at least four starters for some or all games. The missing guards are hurting our running game. The back up guards have come in and done well given their inexperience.

I hope Ohio can find a way to get it together. Hopefully, the return of WRs Cox and possibly Buckner will help get us some explosive plays.

I'd also feel better if we didnt lose to that FCS team. The losses to Syracuse and Louisiana are tolerable but that loss to Duquesne was what I think has folks discouraged the most.

My program guide (AT&T Now... aka Direct Stream) shows Villanova at Penn State will be on all three BTN feeds. ESPN+ doesn't show Ohio @ Northwestern at all.

It's on an alternate BTN channel. You might have to get the BTN app.

Poor coaching from the quarterback coach. Qb holds ball to long, qb throws past line of scrimmage, qb doesn't slide get down fumbles. 3 big mistakes by quarterback on first 2 drives. That is on the quarterback coach. Mental errors. Talent is there on this team. It's poor coaching 100%. These are basic decision high school players should comprehend.

OUr punter, the reigning MAC special teams player of the week, pins NW on their 10 yard line. . .NW RB goes 90 yards on next play for 6.

Agree mental mistakes --- but by Rourke, not Tettleton.
