I used to look forward to watching Frank Solich's press conferences. Listening to his show with Russ during the week. Reading all of the pre-and-post-game stories. Watching all of the games. Then looking forward to the next one.

But no more. I never would have thought I'd EVER say this considering where Bobcat football and basketball are now, but I'm so disgusted I've given up everything in regard to football except for watching the games. And that's even teetering on the brink!

And you know, it's probably better in the long run that we lost this game so there won't be any mistaking that Tim Albin is fool's gold. Ugh! Get him the heck out of here! Now, I say. If not then, after the season. He may have already set the program back several years as I doubt the majority of our highly-rated verbally-committed recruits are gonna want to play here if he's the coach.

I could go through it, but I'll point only to the last play of today's loss. If Buffalo's second kick had missed, they would have gotten a THIRD chance because we jumped offsides again! Have you EVER seen something like that in your lives? That's lack of discipline. That's coaching, friends. Or the lack of it, I should say.

Ugh! Get him out of here.

FlashGary said it all. I agree with all of his points.

And, something I never thought I'd say in October: Is it basketball season yet?

This team has a myriad of misgivings. But the most glaring is its lack of discipline. This lack of discipline rears itself in many different ways during a course of a game and is, as FlashGary alludes to, a sign of poor leadership from the coaching staff.

I say it every year when the last Saturday MAC game has ended. Sadly, I said it a lot earlier this year.

Come on, OCF, most of us said that every October (even mid- to late September) during the 1980s...and mid-to late 1990s.

Good point. I should have said in this century! ;-)

You definitely could fill a bingo chart with all sorts of wacky and bizarre events that have come from the football program this season.

Albin might serve the team better by packing up his sideline gear and heading back up to the booth. The OC pair of Isphording and Rudolph have proven they need to return to their Quarterback coaching and O-Line lanes to make way for Albin to root himself back in the seat upstairs. The only thing positive about the last two weeks is that the miserable play calling was not interrupted by a momentum changing Quarterback switcheroo mid-drive - followed by more miserable play calling.

I'm tired of hearing Albin sputter around after the game like that guy Milton who got his red stapler taken away in the movie Office Space. He continually offers up the fact that the players fail to execute but then clamors and stutters that he needs to look at the film as if he somehow wasn't around for the dive play called on 3rd and 14, the ingenious run-out-the-clock plays with two minutes left in the half or the lets-do-the-exact-same-thing offense starting out the 3rd because lord knows the other team won't make adjustments. Was it the dual-OC call to pull off the gas at the end of the 1st quarter and play scared the rest of the Buffalo game? I'd really like to know. At what point will Albin make mention that his dual-threat OC system has lack of execution problems of their own? When will he fix THAT?

ANYONE else (including Rufus) is our best bet at this point to handle the HC duties during the games and let Albin do what he's done for the last um-teen years. If we're stuck with him, maybe he can do us all a favor and go back to the place where he was somewhat semi-successful - off the sidelines and in the skybox. Not saying that's the best option, but it may be the best option we have.

Is this the first BA Football board reference to Office Space? Thanks for the chuckle!
