bshot44 and I have had our disagreements over the years, but I bet we now agree on one thing: Solich was a much better head coach than Albin. While Solich never won a MAC, he had numerous winning seasons, bowl appearances, etc. And, he never, ever lost to an FCS school. He might have finished 8-4 for this season, and bshot44 would be complaining about it, and I would understand, though not totally agree with his points, but Frank would never be 1-6 at this point in the season. Never ever! The situation this year is not one on which reasonable people can disagree. It's just so obvious that Albin is worse than Knorr. He's not Knorr 2.0, he's PaPaL 2.0, or Cleve 2.0. We need a buyout ASAP!!

Respect.

You're spot on. Frank is light years better than Albin.

And while I had my frustrations over the years and held my standards a little higher than some ... you're exactly right in what you said.

It's not that I wasn't appreciative of what Frank accomplished ... it's that I believed he could do more! There is nothing more I wanted to see was for him to finally win a MAC title to finish off his career. It was there for the taking so many times and never happened for a variety of reasons ... and that's why it was/is frustrating. It wasn't an unrealistic expectation to have.

And to OhioBobcat ... yeah a MAC title won't change my day to day life ... which my day to day life is just fine, I might add ... but wouldn't seeing your Alma Mater win a Championship be fun? Not sure why you can't understand that ... or refuse to. But to me that's a much more sad way of looking at it.

You guys are sad! This team is at least battling! The players committed 3 turnovers. That has zero to do with coaching.
Well said. It's not the results Ohio fans are accustomed to seeing, but TA and Ohio continue to play hard and battle and are in all these MAC games. All 3 of these MAC losses could have easily been wins, and they're literally a few plays away from being 4-0 in the conference. And that all stems back to the coaches having their players prepared and the players executing with effort. Even in the losses it's evident that is there.
Ok ... so using your incredibly sound logic, Ohio is also a few plays from being 1-3 in the MAC.

Ummm ... please hold ... Ok ... I'm being told Ohio is in fact 1-3 in the MAC.

Apparently blowing a 21-0 1st quarter lead .... and a 7pt 4th quarter lead ... has NOTHING to do with coaching.

Nor does losing to a FCS school that has never beaten a FBS team. Oh! And that FCS school was playing a backup QB.

And I guess having a defense that ranks worse than 200th nationally in points allowed, rushing yards allowed, 3rd down conversions, and total yards has NOTHING to do with coaching.

As long as you lose by less than 7 in the worst division in the FBS, you are successful.

Give. This. Man. A. Contact. Extension. Now!

I'd hate to lose him to LSU or USC.
This season has produced a silver lining. As you continue to bash this program even when it is successful and then pile on it when it finally isn’t, it kind of puts a smile on my face to know people like you who complain about it all the time even when things are good are getting a taste of what they deserve. I have news for you my friend, winning a MAC title isn’t going to change your life. You’re still going to have to get up the following day and do whatever it is you do.
I think we should hire a high school coach and pay him $50,000 a year if these are our expectations for the football team.

Seriously. If we’re an Ivy League-type of program, let’s go fully Ivy League.

If we came out to play the way we have most of this season (first quarter of Buffalo excepted), there’s a good chance that Princeton would murder us and defile our corpses
