At Saturday's club swim meet at O$U they had abbreviations for all the teams on the scoreboard. For nearly all the teams it was obvious what their abbreviation was. The Ohio swim club was OUSC; O$U's was OSUSC; Cincy's was UCSC; etc. One, though, was a real puzzler: MOFO. At first I thought it was Missouri but their abbreviation was MIZZ. My wife finally came up with the solution for MOFO: Miami of Ohio. Should've known (slapping forehead).

I had never seen this MOFO abbreviation for that school in Oxford until recently. Now, I'm seeing it everywhere. Does have ring to it, and seems quite fitting. I suspect the AD at MOFO is not too pleased, but maybe from their perspective its better than MOHSUCKS!
