Probably not. First year .500 coach Eddie George also not interested.

Interesting names floating around: Brian Polian of ND, Bobby Petrino, Doc Holliday. https://footballscoop.com/news/update-akron-coaching-search

According to some Huntington rumors that I heard when Doc was let go at Marshall, some players had accused him of being abusive toward them. I have no idea of the truth of these rumors, but it was strange that he was let go given the fact he had been fairly successful there and had never lost a "75 game" (the game each year honoring the crash victims and near the Nov 14th crasah date). So, it did seem that there was some back story. There were other rumors that the governor wanted him out of some reason, also. At any rate, he seems to be damaged goods, so might be a perfect match for Akron.

Program was out of control under Doc, multiple fights everyday at practice, coaches and players fighting.
