Washington fired Jimmy Lake yesterday, and Butch Davis says he won't be back at FIU next season.

If Davis' name sounds familiar, he was previously HC at U. of Miami, Cleveland Browns, and North Carolina. Reportedly says FIU administration is sabotaging the program...

If you need to take a donation of newer old equipment from a different university you should consider not being a D1 football team.

Things like this help give a glimpse as to why perhaps FIU has been left behind in CUSA in all of the conference shifting.

And FIU posted the head coaching job online last month. Not a good atmosphere for any prospective coach. The AD is stepping down, too.

I feel like that's something that probably happens a lot, but doesn't get talked about publicly. Do we have any former equipment guys who can shed some light on this?

Jimmy Lake...ooh boy. Took a borderline playoff program that rarely got talked about negatively in the national media under Chris Petersen and nuked it in 13 games. In way over his head from the jump.
