During last night's game, an announcer noted that Ohio hadn't had a losing season since 2008. Later curiosity got the better of me. So I took few minutes to page through the 2021 and 2019 Phil Steele's guides.

Wanna guess how many FBS teams hadn't had a losing season since 2008? It's a short list and Ohio will be making it one program shorter. The others on that list: Alabama, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Boise.

Ohio might have had a stretch like that under Don Peden, but it seems to me that the Solich years, absence of a MAC conference championship notwithstanding, likely will look pretty impressive in the decades to come.
