Former Northern Illinois & Minnesota HC will be interim coach at TCU the rest of the year as school & Gary Patterson part ways.

Per school's website, administration wanted Patterson to stick around the rest of 2021 but Patterson decided to step down immediately.

Really didn’t see that coming considering his original reason for stepping away from Minnesota was out of fear of having a seizure and dying. I guess there isn’t much pressure to succeed with the team.

Kill apparently has the same syndrome that Urban Meyer has (or is it the other way around). In Meyer it only appears when things are going badly, though.

In Florida didn't it appear after an interview with players was made public in which said players recounted all kinds of abusive behavior on the part of the coaching staff? Or, am I remembering the sequence incorrectly? Asking for BTC's friend.

Kill has real and serious documented medical issues. He still wants to coach, and has not just quit when things got tough.

Meyer is known for being very demanding, especially to his staff with very high expectations for their time and effort. As for his players, no, if anything he had the reputation of being way to loyal and forgiving and would go to great lengths to take up for them. He would have fit in much better in the 1970's and 80's when athletes could choke and beat women or worse and it never really get out.

He apparently does not demand, however, that staff members not beat up their wives.

Well, here´s the video I was remembering that was done undercover with some of his former players at Florida. Please watch the whole thing before commenting. It´s from a source some of you will discount, but the content speaks for itself.

You are correct, that site and their information there is quite skewed in many different ways. Yeah, people get hurt in a weight room, yes, there are Mat drills that are extremely aggressive, there are training that pushes people. You think Nick Saban sings Puff The Magic Dragon around campfires. And I am not even an Urban fan in any way shape or form.

So, the way they treated Gideon Ajagbe and his arm infection was just par for the course in aggressive college weight room training? Or, maybe Gideon was just fabricating the whole episode? That's a possibility, but I sincerely doubt it. He sounded quite credible to me. Or, you can just go ahead and kill the messenger. You're free to make up your own mind. I just put it out there for people to view and come to their own conclusions.

You realize that Urban Meyer is not a doctor and in no program is the head coach going to run the medical staff to that. And your little source has a long history of doctoring things to support their slant. Remember, you still believe in Sam Shamansky's claims of being drugged, even though he used an unaccredited lab which found enough drug to kill a stable of horses. So yeah, your credibility here is clouded by your personal feelings.
