What are the chances. new start at a good place to leverage his Ohio and coaching connections. Probably still collection for JAC, so $$$ are not an issue.

I can't imagine what he would've done to our kickers this year.

Urban sprawl?

Something has rubbed me wrong about Urban Meyer since I was a teenager and he was at Florida, and over the years it’s been revealed more and more how right I’ve been. That guy stinks.

Another school with more $$$ and less of a conscious will probably snag him up in a year or two once this all blows over.

Please! The guy is done. He and John Gruden might as well buy an isolated island together and live across the street from one another. The two have become so toxic, they are radioactive.

Urban will be back at a major D1 school within a year. He's just another variant of the coronavirus.

It’s a little hard to imagine, even in today’s climate for winning, that anyone would pick the guy up that soon

Part of the justification in firing this guy was that he had “poor relationships” and “didn’t mesh well” with his assistant coaches. Isn’t he the one that hired the assistant coaches? This clown needs to step away from coaching for a little while.

One of his first hires at Jacksonville was a strength and conditioning coordinator who had been accused of making racist remarks and bullying Black players at his previous stop.

I’d like to hear which D-1 programs you guys think are desperate enough to hire this guy, if any.

With the next opening at these schools, I see any to them capable of making this hire:

Miami (Fla)
Akron
Middle Tennessee (delusions of grandeur are alive in Murfreesboro)
UConn (They are desperate)
Kentucky (just look at who they have as their basketball coach, morals are never an issue at UK)

If Steve Sarkisian has another bad year at Texas I would imagine they would at least consider it.

I don't think this board could handle another OU coach owning a house in Columbus. It'd be a full on meltdown if Meyer didn't sell his Columbus house by season 2.

Reality is I don't think anyone on this board (or otherwise associated with Ohio University) would want Ohio to even consider whoring itself out and having Urban Meyer anywhere on campus including the football field.

Bringing the evasive Mediocre Athletic Conference Championship trophy to Athens is a daunting challenge that will attract the best of coaches. A goal only the G.O.A.T. of college coaching could achieve.

I don't think Meyer's colossal ego would even let him set foot in Athens, let alone allow him to consider coaching Ohio.

In a world where Hugh Freeze gets hired by the shameless hypocrites at effing Liberty, it's hard to imagine there isn't a program out there willing to sully its soul for wins to give Meyer yet another redemption opportunity. That said, I think most of us wouldn't want it to happen at Ohio. The guy is a world-class trainwreck with the ethics of a sociopath. Drunken womanizing, violence against players, hiring racist clowns, doing a live interview while passing a bong around... I mean, there just might be some limits to how many varieties of bad judgement one can accept.

A live interview while passing around a bong? I missed that one
