Find a damn kicker.

Horrible forward progress call.

Our kicking game MUST improve if we are going to have a repeat in Detroit.

Find a new Kicker this upcoming offseason. I've seen more than enough of this circus.

Yeah we’re not helping with the penalties and the bad kicking, but this officiating is absolutely WILD.

On the kicking situation, we should be calling the kid who nailed a kick that would have been good from 50 for $500,000 on College Gameday today.

The ref pointing in the direction of Ohio while being forced to call a blatantly obvious foul on EMU feels like the Freudian slip of the century.

In the past seasons of OUr discontent we had zero depth.

Yes injuries suck but people have stepped up.

Looks like LBer and WR injuries but these positions have some talent.

Christopher is a beast.

EMU is last in MAC rushing defense. We are the top rushing team. We need to take care of business up front.
Keep it simple. Bangura needs the 20 range of carries. OU is 17-4 in games where Sieh has at least 17 touches - below .500 when he doesn't. Circle that in red. Underline it. He needs his touches. We need to get him going. That your story from here on out.
18 carries for 100 yards.

Take some knees. Get out of here with a W.

18-4.

Tale of two halves (story of the season). On to the next.

It looks like we are going to survive, and while I think we control our own destiny, the MACCG feels unlikely. We struggle on the road. A lot of high schools have a better kicking game. If Molnar and Williams are out for a long time then key player injuries are really piling up on defense. We might end up with a tougher MAC schedule than most contenders. I'm not all that hopeful.

Nice second half adjustments. I don't believe we are MACCG material but we do control our own destiny. If we can get one win out of the next two contests, I'd be blissfully happy.

Ohio has given up either 20 or 21 points in each MAC game this season. Magic number on offense is 22.

Defense really held it together after the first quarter but played too soft too early and let EMU get that lat TD.

Now have a few extra days for injuries to get better before MOFO comes to town on Election Day.

There are only 4 more games left. Ohio could use a little help. Akron is looking to score a win today against Buffalo. If that happens and WMU also beats Miami there is a solid path to a MACCG provided Ohio can at least take care of business against Miami (home), Buffalo and UMass.

Ohio should have won this game by 21+. That lineman down field was unfortunate and a couple other times were on the verge of 7. Score today was closer than what it should have been.

Found a way to win! EMU special teams made couple errors OU makes, missed field goal and not catching a punt that rolled to 1. Officiating was terrible but trying to pass too much against a terrible run defense. Running wide and running the option. Didn’t work… stop with the option, not an option team. Missed field goal again, can’t Haines punter or his backup Bartels kick? Can’t be worse! Where is Kase, this is his 3rd year in the program, he can kick. Defense played well, good adjustments after first two drives! LB Christopher stepped up big time. Still in the hunt.

Stat of 2026 (so far)?

I still believe how Parker Navarro goes, Ohio goes.

But . . . he has thrown 7 interceptions on the year, including 3 in the second half v. WVU; 1 each v. BG and NIU; and 2 today at EMU. All wins for Ohio.

He has 0 interceptions in Ohio's 3 losses.

To quote another BA poster, make it make sense.

I posted during the 4th qtr today that Christopher is emerging as Ohio's best defender. Injuries forced him onto the field during the Ball St. game and he ended up with 5 tackles in Muncie. He has been on the field much more the past 2 weekends and led Ohio in tackles against NIU with 7 and today finished with 10 tackles, a fumble recovery and an important pass broken up.

While I'm excited to see a freshman shine when given an opportunity, I have to temper that enthusiasm knowing we're in the days of the transfer portal.

Can we get a scholarship to the kid in socks who booted that FG on Gameday this morning?
Kicker.

My wife is a John Carroll University graduate so we attended their homecoming game today vs Wooster. The JCU kicker did not have a field goal attempt. In the first half he nailed all 7 extra points with his kicks getting high very quickly(no block opportunity). On his 7 kickoffs he kicked them really high and deep resulting in not a single return.

Call the staff and see if the kid has a grad school desire--he has to be under the radar!

Two things that kept EMU in the game today:

Our D had no sacks and only two TFLs for six yards. EMU kept moving the ball forward. Gotta do better vs MOFO.

Anlso, they had about an average game for penalties. Coming in they averaged seven penalties a MAC game for 49 ypg. Today they had six penalties for 49 yds. I think they had just one in first half but had five in the second half, including two majors on one of our TD drives.

Do not adjust your TV ! The grey colored artificial grass looked terrible as a background to both teams uniforms. The line of scrimmage wasn't offered by CBS either. Gee, what color would that be?

The red field at Eastern Washington is often mention as a horrible one with the usual mentions of the blue bird-suicide inducing one at Boise State and the teal colored Coastal Carolina one. But that field at EMU is quite terrible.
