The best way to avoid not terrified about losing a game to a lowly ranked opponent is to not have them on the schedule. Can't lose to Kent if they aren't on the schedule. P4 can hide under its own strength of schedule, justified by the existence of highly touted players on the roster. If Ohio can throw 3 INT's against a P4 team and win does it stand to have a reasonable chance against the second worst rated team in the MAC? Nothing terrifying about taking a loss at Ohio State when the chance of a loss is 100%? The spread says Ohio has a 86% chance of a win against EMU.

Hard to believe this team is legit without a commanding win in Ypsi.

A few things:

1) We need to get our first road win of the season here. Playing on the road shouldn't become a mental block for us.

2) Eastern Michigan just isn't a good team at all. No reason to stumble against them.

3) Open up the playbook a little bit. Can we see both Bangura and Brune in the backfield at the same time?

4) Secondary, please play well here.

5) Andres Dewerk for Nose Tackle! (had to get that in)

Not gonna happen.

Although, I have to say Dewerk is the most impressive-looking football player on the Ohio sideline.

It was nice to get Odjugo back in the interior D-line.

EMU has some players on offense and will score quite a few points. They have terrible run defense, so we need to just run all over them and out score them in a shootout.

This is a must win game w/ Western & Mofo coming up. A loss here and I’m not even sure we finish above .500

Are we missing Ablin yet? Asking for our friend that used to post here a lot and is now AWOL.

The weight of playing on the road would be lifted off our shoulders with a win here. If EMU has such a poor Run D, then use Bangura, Brune and Navarro via scrambles and beat them down. It should be that simple.

LMAO. Nah, I'm not that negative or pessimistic. I just believe BALLS has to be our annual "MACstake game." We're going to have our hands full w/ Miami and Western so I think we really need to win the ones we absolutely should which would be EMU/Buffalo (this season)/UMASS. Win those three and we're at least guaranteed a bowl. Win those three plus one of the two against Western/Miami and we should be in the driver's seat for the MACC Game. Lose to Eastern and I think we're looking at the real possibility of going 6-6. JMO.

Team Rankings . com says Bobcats favored in all remaining games with a most likely final regular season finish of 8-4

They say re: Albin's team... prohibitive underdog in every remaining game with the likely final result of 1-11 for the season.

To quote Sesame Street: One of these things doesn't go with the other, one of these things just doesn't belong...can you tell which thing is not like the other by the time I finish this song. (Annoying music interlude here)

EMU is last in MAC rushing defense. We are the top rushing team. We need to take care of business up front.

Keep it simple. Bangura needs the 20 range of carries. OU is 17-4 in games where Sieh has at least 17 touches - below .500 when he doesn't. Circle that in red. Underline it. He needs his touches. We need to get him going. That your story from here on out.

I'm a Browns fan, so forgive me, but this is a classic don't overthink it game. They have the worst run defense in the conference. Pound the rock. We're not very good vs the run either, but they're the worst by 50 yards, and almost 100 more yards than OU.

I really like their QB, Kim, he is a chipper and he's fairly accurate with the ball. Their RB #28 is a load. He's #1 in the conference in rushing (ahead of #2 Sieh). He also is nearly leading their team in receptions.

I'm sure it won't be as easy as I hope, but it would be nice to see another 300 yard rushing game.

I don't know if it holds up statistically but from my observation the team that is running the ball better, 7-8 ypc compared with 2-3 ypc in the first half is usually the team that will end up winning the game regardless of where the score is in the first half (unless the better run team is down 3 scores). QB when passing is under more pressure due to additional execution time which results in missed plays.

Agree on about everything here. And whatever happened in Muncie regarding hotel, food, etc., don’t repeat it.

Ahh. . . now we finally have a reasonable explanation for why we lost to BSU. They put a sedative in our water! (I think that would be covered by your "etc.")

That was a rumor something like that when Iowa State played here and half their team was sick with stomach issues.

EMU defense determines whether we pass or run. Even if they are dead last in run defense, it could be because of 7 man fronts. I expect EMU to add an 8th man and stop the run and force to pass. We need to execute on those pass routes to get the 8th man out and run on 7. Keep Navarro's game plan simple.

I wouldn't mind if they try this, #7 is a badddd man and will rack up 200 yards.

Off topic but.....is the WMU defense as dominant as the stats indicate? It does suck we play Fiami, WMU and Buffalo who all are decently rated in conference only stats.

One game at a time. On to EMU.
