I was walking by Peden today and noticed a way in and decided to take some photos.  Thought this deserved a new thread.  Here's one overall view and a link to the other photos.  I hope there are enough here from various angles to give everyone a good idea what it's going to look like.

I like the white border. It makes the field seem bigger.

Always thought they should lay Athens brick where that driveway to the lockeroom in the corner of the endzone. Actual brick would probably be pretty difficult to find and maintain, but like an artist painted faux-brick runway that looks identical rather than the ugly asphalt driveway would be a neat feature.

They should also put the Bobcat statue there near the top, sort of like a Clemson entrance. Touch the Bobcat for luck on the way down to the field.

OU doesn't really get the raucous crowd that makes a slow entrance cool, but even back when I was in school I always thought they should come down the hill for an entrance. Maybe it's not cool to steal their entrance, but the grass hill endzone is a unique feature that only (2?) schools have.

Also; I hope they add a brick border like in the convo in the giant white space and/or some sort of unique endzone feature... think it could be cool to play up the brick theme in a somewhat subtle way.

Looks fresh. Not a huge fan of the font but I’m old and crotchety. Go Cats!

Thanks for the pics. I trust Athletics is putting together a montage like Akron did with their new turf (hence lack of urgency to provide more than an occasional tease) but I was anxious to see more progress so yours pics scratched an itch.

Interesting observation: new poles at Sook end of the field to catch extra point/field goal attempts as opposed to sailing onto the porch or elsewhere. Looked through pics from last year to make sure I didn't just miss them and apparently they've only ever been on the scoreboard side; though I know those weren't put up until mid-late 2000s.

I like the thick white sidelines, but they are going to age horribly. Imagine how much wear they will show in 2030.

Wow. Even more reason to slow walk down the brick path or hill.

EDIT: Never mind, BTC is talking about the cat head as the team followed Rufus on the entrance. My bad.
