6-7 wins, both of which save TA. I like the energy behind recruiting...if he survives this year.

OU is always good for a baffling loss, so there are certainly some toss-ups in there, but I can see a path to 7 wins. Hopefully 6 and back to a bowl game would be nice.

It's a brutal open to the season, I'm not sure what Julie's cutting point is, but I honestly don't see a scenario when Albin makes it beyond the BYE week unless they manage to pull out one of the first three games. Reigns are handed over to Brian or Spense during the BYE, OU rattles off 3 or 4 wins - Miami would be a huge one. We probably end up hiring the coach that finishes 4-0, 3-1.

I was expecting it to be more like 4.5 or 4.

I think a lot hinges on FAU and Fordham. If we don't have two wins by October 1, I don't see us getting to six. And if we don't rely on just one QB to handle both passing and rushing downs by the time we get to MAC play, so it isn't obvious what we're doing, I'm afraid it will be more like last year.

I predict 7-5 and Albin keeps his job. We lose to Iowa State and Penn State in absolute blowouts and squeak by FAU and then dominate Fordham. In MAC play we upset a team like Kent but lose to someone like BG while losing two more games to a WMU, a Northern or a Buffalo. We shock Miami in Oxford. I just think we have some interesting pieces back that we didn't have last year (Keye and Wood at LB, Bangura joining Allison and I think our offensive line is going to be tough with our returnees). Kai is an absolute stud and our special teams is all back. Heck, even Kurtis looked better to end the year so we will see what happens with him if the Central QB gets in the mix. But 7-5 is my prediction, Albin gets a bowl game and loses.

The burning question, you might say the elephant in the room, is who will get the UTM carries on inappropriate downs. My prediction: AUTM will be the be go-to call.

The more obvious question is when we run a read option will the QB ever be allowed to keep the ball, which is the point of the read option.

I just don't see more than 4-5 wins. I hope I am wrong. What I saw against Blowing Green last year scares me. Echoes of Tom Lichtenburg.

We may be able to hit the over, unless we start 1-5 and the program under Albin sits at 4-14 under his leadership. That is a big hole to dig out of.
