Nathan Rourke has taken over the starting job for the BC Lions and had an amazing game--both passing and rushing--in the opener. The team won in a blowout. I didn't realize the CFL started this early.

I wish his brother could work that RPO like Nathan. His RB (24) had a good game, but 12 set him up with the way he commits to the option/fake. Hope the season continues to go well for he and the Lions.

I’m not sure Kurtis has the wheels Nathan has, but this new from UCF kid might be able to tuck it and bolt.

Parker Navarro (UCF) transfer was a track star in high school.

I’m not a big fan of the 2 QB system but loyalty might convince Albin to tinker with it again. If we struggle I say scratch it and may the best QB win.

Navarro seems to be a better runner and if his arm is able he may be the best choice.

Wasn't his 40 time approximately the same? I think he just can't change direction nor does he want to get hit.

My opinion, from the cheap seats…
I give a lot of credit to Nathan’s commitment to the fake, after the handoff. It’s subtle, and the defense respects his running ability. Tyler used to execute the same, until he was injured and then almost never kept it. (Kind of highlights how good Beau was…but I digress)

I don’t mind using 2 QB…I object to “one to pass and one to run”. Both should be dual-threat.

I don't mind one being run-oriented guy, but there has to be a threat to pass from that guy as well. Let that guy play the Freshman Tebow role-short downs and goal-line plays. With Armani Rodgers and Phil Bates there never was a strong threat to throw. With Bates that seemed reasonable. However, I think they could've let Rodgers wing it a bit more, at least to keep other teams honest.

I hope he likes our weight room.

Parker seems to be a weight room rat.

Hopefully we have a decent weight training guy.

Anyway, back to Nathan -- he'll be on ESPN2 tomorrow night at 10:00 vs AJ's Toronto Argos.

BTW, on right now on ESPN2 is Winnipeg vs Hamilton. Casey Sayles is still on the Bombers' roster but apparently Will Evans has been cut. I've seen Maleek Irons in the game for Hamilton but not Papi yet (I've only seen the last three minutes of the first half).

Hamilton QB Dane Evans doesn’t have the best arm strength… Maleek had a TD if Dane could’ve just lobbed a pass off his back foot.
