According to the 247 portal website Jerome Buckner, Shakari Denson, Jett Elad, Bryce McNair, Tillman Weaver, Samson Jackson, and Wyatt Walton have yet to find a new school.

3,600 NCAA Football players were in the Portal this year. Sure there are a few more still available.

Jett Elad and Tillman Weaver still have yet to find transfer destinations...

Interesting considering all the high major D1 "offers" and "interest" in Weaver...

Also, OL Gary Hoover ended up at Old Dominion

August Pitre III, a transfer wide receiver from Rice. Had 31 receptions for 494 yards and three TDs in only eight games. Plug in and play immediately, I'd imagine and possibly start.
Not sure what happened here, definitely was poised to start, but it looks like Pitre is officially OUT in Athens.

Look at my skepticism earlier about this transfer. I think this a matter of water seeking its level, so to speak. No big loss, IMHO.

Losing experienced guys like Jackson and Hoover, plus young players like McNair and Walton can’t help the o-line. I saw we picked up a transfer OL FCS Jacksonville State.

Losing those guys sucks but we do bring back some experience on the OL.

Danneker will be back from injury (started first game at LG)
Meservy will be back.
Brody Rodgers back at RG.
Amburgey started every game at RT will be back as well.
Titsworth started 7 games at Center

Others who got some experience last year: Atkinson, Habinowski, Ramer.

Replacing Jackson at LT will be the most immediate need since he started every game last year.

Good point.
I looked up the signing class this morning and I also had forgot about Vance van Every who signed in December. He was an All-American junior college offensive lineman in Mississippi so I’m sure the coaches expect him to play right away. Sounds like we have some good depth up front!

The OL will be in great shape this year with those guys above back. A few of the injuries that set the unit back last year will actually benefit the unit this year as a few of those guys didn’t exhaust a year of eligibility because of being injured. The loss of them last year actually turned into a bonus this season. As for Jackson, I don’t see his loss as that big of a deal. I thought Jackson was solid for the most part, but he wasn’t great. He physically looked every part of a dominant LT when he broke the huddle walking to the line of scrimmage. But after the ball was snapped, he sometimes showed why he wasn’t at Virginia Tech anymore as well. And remember all those safeties against Ohio last year? I can clearly remember a couple of them where Jackson whiffed and even one where be never even got out of his stance that caused them. He will be replaceable.

At this point what would be the best guess as the starting 5 o-line?
