This portal is simply becoming an epidemic, and will continue to spiral down the rabbit hole. Today, kids get mad, parents or their old coaches get unhappy, it's just quit and move on.

At least Tanner didn't quit in the middle of a game and tweet "Fucc Ohio" before the game ended.

That's where college football is today. If I'm not playing then I'm not showing the NFL what I can do and, more importantly, I'm not setting myself up for that $1 million NIL arrangement I'm entitled to.

Maybe he figures why waste probably two years of eligibility on a team that's probably going nowhere. At least when Solich was in charge there was a good chance of being on a division contender and maybe a bowl team. Even if he winds up on a 1AA or D2 team, it's likely to be a better situation than our current Chernobyl.

I saw him make a 49 yard FG on the last play of the first half in a 6a (largest classification) varsity game when he was in 9th grade. He's been good for a while. The kid is a natural. He makes it look easy.

Skip college and go Pro by going undrafted and trying out for the team and city where you'd like to live and play.

Apparently the NCAA feels bad for all those P5 teams "losing" kids that don't play. This makes it easier to run off recruiting mistakes and immediately reuse the scholarships.

Coaches do it all the time. No reason why players shouldn't have the same opportunity to leave for greener pastures.

I hope Ohio keeps a reasonable flow of talent coming onto the roster through this method because I don't see it going anywhere and the program would fall even further behind if it doesn't leverage it.

Bangura will be really good I think. Love that he has the #22 as well
