I think if we go 2-2 OOC, we're set up for better than 5-7. Honestly, I don't put much stock in prognostications of this type - by the time CFN gets down to the MAC, I doubt they're applying very many brain cells to the matter.

Yeah, they put about as much effort into as some of the people doing MAC games for ESPN.

Hit the nail on the head with that observation. That's why I much prefer when our games are on CBS Sports. They actually act like they care about the game they are broadcasting rather than using it as background for commentary about which team rated in the top five is really the best, and the like.

It's been said that Jim McKay always tried to make people think that whatever event he was covering for Wide World of Sports was the most important thing happening at the moment, whether it was the Olympics or log rolling. He did it primarily by researching the hell out of the event, so he could really get into it and bring his audience along with him. Most of the ESPN guys need to emulate him.

This looks reasonable to me. 5 wins is what Vegas thinks and those might be the 5 most likely. But most of those L's look like likely L's to me. We're an underdog to FAU and probably would be in some on those other W's. Fordham is the only game where we would be a strong favorite right now but I'm guessing not as big of a favorite as we were against Duquesne.

Another examples of this. I was just watching College Football Live on ESPN. They had a segment with their two talking heads (I forget who they were) on this weekend's "under the radar" game. One picked Houston vs UTSA -- a ranked G5 team (at least for this year yet) vs an unranked but very good G5 team. Sounds reasonable. The other guy chose LSU vs Florida State. Really???? Two traditional "P" (albeit rebuilding) powerhouses WHO ARE FEATURED ON ESPN SUNDAY NIGHT???? If he considers that to be "under the radar" I'm glad he won't be flying the bomber with Moscow as its target. C'mon, man. You can come up with an important game that's more "under the radar" than that. How about UNC-App St, or Boise-Oregon St
