Crickets so far on the scrimmage.

Who scored touchdowns?

Injuries?

Is there a QB competition?

What does RB depth look like?

Is the D Line as good as advertised!

Any new guys stand out?

Did the restrooms get a new coat of paint?

Russ and Rob had a three minute report. Spoke about the defense. Nathan was interviewed.

Looked like the D-line controlled the O-line all scrimmage.

Kurtis?

You know, I grew up with a girl whose sister was two years older than she. Our math teacher called her by her sister's name all through junior high and high school.

Not much running room between the tackles. Defense closed any holes quickly. I thought the QB's looked good. Need some WR's to step up but not looking bad.

Of course Kurtis. My apologies. I’m an older gentleman. At this point I’m lucky to remember I saw the interview.

How was that one room school you attended to have the same math teacher 6 years?

And, any younger sibling from a large family gets the count down to their name. This is Little Larry, no, I mean Robert, no I mean Eddie, geez its Sam.

It wasn't one room, but I was in the same building for all 12 years (back then, kindergarten was called "Mom"). They did build a separate elementary about the time I hit junior high. Farm country school districts in Ohio's Great Northwest were usually strapped for facilities and teachers. Elementary teachers taught everything except music, unlike my son's school which had separate teachers for math and science for 4th and 5th grades.

Russ and Rob mentioned a TD by Tyler Walton and the emergence of Nigel Drummond…..two of OUr quicker WRs.

I’m not concerned about WR but worry about the depth at RB.

Once again no reporting by the boys relative to injuries.
Is it possible there aren't any? DOUBTFUL!
Give the fans all the information on the team.

I wonder if the Ball State transfer is on campus and playing? He should add depth behind Allison, Bangura and Ross. I was always so impressed with Quinn at DeSales running the football and thought he could make the switch from LB. Really good athlete.
I guess I'm more concerned about WR just based on lack of overall experience.

Remember, they work for the Athletics Department so they're only going to tell us what the department tells them they can tell us. I'm sure the coaching staff will want to keep injury info pretty quiet until they have to disclose. Usually it's the independent media that ask about injuries. The Post is still on hiatus and the Mess is focused on HS sports.

Two very strong runners behind Bangura.

Allison: 1,200 career rushing yards at OU
Ross: 500 career rushing yards at OU

Has anyone seen any position profiles or articles from the athletic department? In years past they used to do one position per practice. I guess they shouldn’t want to share injury updates but at least interview a player or coach. It’s not just crickets from the scrimmage but every day practices too.

It's now apparent that the team, athletic dept. or both are not interested in being transparent to the fan base.
One tends to think they feel they have nothing great to talk about. By thinking this way they must feel that we are probably in for another loosing season.
If we go 0-4 in the OCC games then they were right.

Though we may well have a bad season, my take on this is a little different. It seems they are taking a more secretive approach to practices to prevent opponents from knowing too much about new plays and new alignments we may be installing. Just my 1/2 a cent worth!

I think all schools are pretty mum on injuries during fall camp, partly because of HIPPA but mostly because nobody's there to ask about them. The bigger schools and others with decent local media coverage get questions about it probably every day because their local media have reporters and/or cameras covering at least part of every practice/scrimmage, so injuries are tougher to hide. Right now I'm watching Channel 4 and they just had a clip of CJ Stroud answering a question at a presser; we see something like that just about every day here. I don't think we've had anybody from independent media sit down with a player or coach after a practice this month to find out what's going on. We get more info during the season because of the weekly press call by all the MAC coaches and maybe a Thursday presser with a coach. The silence really has nothing to do with a possible bad season or even hiding injuries from opponents. It's just that nobody from the press is there to ask about them.

Well, I don’t think what your saying and I’m saying are mutually exclusive. From what I can gather they are not letting people into see the practices as they have in the past. I read somewhere that you can only watch practice on one day week. The other days practice was to be closed. We used to always have open practices. I’ve certainly got the impression that that’s no longer true. If I’m wrong, please let me know. Wouldn’t be the first time I was mistaken. It’s also true that we don’t have a resourceful media and that the coaches are not being asked tough questions.

Who is the Ball State transfer? Does he have any stats? Young player or someone who can come help right away? Obviously not a lot of answers coming out of camp, but I haven’t seen anything from 247 on this either. Anyone know who it is?

Which in our case it probably means the O-line isn't at a level where it can support a high scoring offense.

Rather surprising especially if all the projected o-line started since they are mostly all veterans with ample playing time over the past few years...and also considering the D-line put very little pressure on opposing QBs last year.

On a side note, it would be nice to get some better coverage on the second scrimmage. Can someone livestream it? lol
