Career at O$U: four years, 13 games, 3 receptions, 25 yds, no TDs, 2 tackles.

First game at Ohio: 5 receptions, 59 yds, 2 TDs.

Glad he's getting a chance to show his stuff.

Could have been 3TDs….he was down at the one yard line.

His Freshman year WR room pic at OSU showed him and 6 other WRs. All 6 are now in the NFL. His WR coach at OSU Brian Hartline couldn’t say enough good things about him.

I thought Sam was a never has been Suckeye player.
Apparently he was just waiting to put on the green and white.

I'll be happy to eat crow for breakfast instead of bacon for the entire season.

My guess is his height was the main reason he didn't play much at O$U. The guy has excellent hands, a good motor and good moves once he has the ball. A real winner it appears!

Or the main reason would be he was a walk-on (a talented walk-on) in a room full of 4-Star scholarship recruits and high NFL Draft picks. However, his time there was not wasted in the fact he was coached up by one of the best in the business and undoubtedly became a better player and that is to our benefit!

And yet, his height (compared with those future NFL draft picks' heights) was still a main reason for lack of playing time, no?

Chris Olave was a whopping 1" taller, 6' vs. 5'11", so I'd say that is not a very good reason! Say has a little more to do with the fact those guys were just pretty damn good! Nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with getting a polished gem of a receiver who's seemingly already been through early development of the position at O$U. One pro of the transfer portal for us

Exactly, believe I stated similar earlier. Just addressing the height comment.
