No Attack Cat or other logo at midfield ?
Yeah, it’s the new concept field. We also are not going to have YD’s 1-4.
Maybe that's to lessen the phantom safety calls?

What's up with the typeface for Ohio in the end zones?
Looks like a generic adidas font.
Good question, does not appear to be an approved font. But hey, if the University ordered it and approved it, well I guess it’s approved.
I think it's one of the newer university brand fonts. Proxima Nova I think. Same as the BOBCATS on the floor in the Convo.
Not a fan of the font.

You mean Billy Madison? Chris Farley was the best. Not discounting Tommy Boy though.

New field in in Athens and new field in Akron.
No longer the alternating colors at Infocision. Now all green with blue endzones and sidelines and a new logo and gold matching Akron at each end.
Big improvement; I did not like the multi staggered colors concept when watching OUr Bobcats every other year.

I'm warming up to this new font. Seeing it utilized across University platforms is a good thing.

I noticed that several players had trouble with footing after the rain started Saturday, something that didn't seem to be a problem with the old field. Is it just the newness of the turf or something we can expect to see regularly?

I never played on field turf but everyone I know who has says that brand new turf is slippery when wet.
