Parker Navarro.
Anyone who has high hopes that this is the new QB1 at Ohio, I wouldn't bank on that. I was told first hand from a staff member that this was a depth move. That's not to say he won't play, he could, but more in the role of what they did with Armani last year with running packages.
Please no more of this swapping QBs in and out on passing vs. running plays ...
Thank goodness we have a quarterback to put in the game for when our existing quarterback starts to build-up too much momentum.
We might mess around and win a game or two.

Armani was a starter at his prior school, not so Navarro. It's reasonable to guess that Rourke will be ahead of CJ because he has been in the past, but CJ probably has as much pt at the college level as Navarro, and he's familiar with the Ohio offense.
No way this young man transferred into a situation where he would be #3. Promises were made, whether staff members are willing to admit it or not.

You think maybe he landed a big NIL that has not been released yet? Maybe tied to the renaming of Peden and the Convo?

Yeah, I hear it was with the Sunday Creek Coal Company.

My least favorite way to run an offense. Take out throwing QB. In comes running QB. Surprise... we run.

It's like watching the Browns last season.

Baker running empty sets while Chubb and Hunt watch... defense drops 48 people into defense... surprise... turnover/short dump/throw away/sack. Chubb back into the game... defense crowds the line.

Hope to be pleasantly surprised by his play but my expectations are low for now.

I'm surprised we don't just run the Wildcat instead of switching QBs. The Wildcat works because teams don't always recognize that a RB is behind center.

Navarro is a better passer than Armani.

Running of course not, but Navarro will score running TDS.

Adding the OSU transfer WR makes me feel better about the passing game.

But if they don't do that, how will the defense know exactly what's coming?

WOO HOO!
VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS GUY!
After some basic research, a few phone calls, word on the street is that this kid's super smart, humble, hungry, tight leadership skills, all-around winner-winner-chicken-dinner.
Everything we need from a QB to go next-level.
Guessing he was overlooked & underappreciated by new coach staff @UCF.
Tendency to give preferential treatment to their hand-picked guys, rarely works out well for 1st string pole positions.
Personally I've got a GREAT FEELING about this guy, just might just be our season!

Would you happen to be Parker Navarro's Mom? Hope everything you say is true, but a first post from someone that calls herself BobcatsMama does raise an eyebrow or two. Just asking for a friend, you understand.

Rourke is QB1. Period. End of story. The only way he's not going to be the starter for Ohio is if he gets injured. Then the door will open for someone else. That someone else would likely be Navarro. Rumor has it Harris was expected to transfer at the end of last season as he's nowhere near close to beating out Rourke here at Ohio. Instead, he stuck around, only to now find himself behind Navarro too. I found it somewhat curious that Navarro transferred to Ohio with Rourke still having several years of eligibility remaining, but he did. I expect to see some packages designed for him like Rogers had, but Rourke is going to see the meaningful amount of snaps. I'll only be surprised if Harris is back next year and not at all surprised if he's gone. It seems like this year could very well end up being a washout season for him based on him staying and those two guys ahead of him for PT.

Rumor has it ....

I'll only be surprised ...

Your posts are someone who hopes one day to be correct. Sorry, but you seem to be hoping for 15 seconds of fame.

And if Rourke is our number 1 QB it's likely Albin won't survive after this year.

And if Rourke plays like he did last year he won’t be OUr # 1 QB.

Navarro may be included in Armani type packages with the exception being Navarro being a better passer.

Thought about this thread over the weekend.

Rourke was absolutely phenomenal Saturday. He made several elite level passes and avoided pressure all night. I couldn't be more impressed. His performance alone has increased by expectations on the season. What a blessing the Rourke family has been to us!
