Just a matter of time until we see "Petition to Hire Herm Edward's at Ohio" circulating on Facebook.

Certainly makes it easier for ASU to "self impose" the inevitable onslaught of NCAA violations.

"Oh it was all the previous coach's fault. We didn't do anyyyyyything wrong here."

Herm Edwards was 26-20 .565 as a P5 coach.
Scott Frost was 16-31 0.340 as a P5 coach.

I'm not recommending either, nor dissing them, just showing their respective records.

Fired before he could even get to the tunnel, possibly. Definitely at least a "three of us need to meet tomorrow". President didn't even make eye contact when shaking Herman's hand = it had already been decided.

I remember being surprised when ASU hired Edwards. He hadn't distinguished himself as an NFL head coach. Moments ago, to check the accuracy of my memory, I googled Edwards. His NFL head coaching record for the Jets and Chiefs: 56-78.

Someone on here recently suggested we consider Hugh Jackson. Now that's a memorable NFL coaching record.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of re-tread names that get thrown into a coaching search, even if they were awful. The NBA and NFL are terrible at this. If there's one thing you can say about college football, they at least try not to dip into this well very much and hire up and comers from the G5 or assistants on a championship staff.

Leipold is turning around Kansas
DeBoer has Washington tuned up
Chadwell is awesome at Coastal Carolina

Take a chance on someone fresh!
