This makes me both laugh and cry.

It turns 90% of D1 into a minor league feeder system for the 10%.

Even if some of these kids never play a down, these schools can afford to wine and dine them so lavishly they don't even take into account system, play time, what's best for their future... etc etc... you could be a star at Toledo... or you could get $50,000 and gear for being a tackling dummy at OSU. It might not be too hard a decision for a lot of kids.

This is why outside OU I rarely watch NCAA anymore.

Very, very few kids that go to a major program think they are going to sit the bench or be a tackling dummy. They feel their talent is there. Yes, they may be brainwashed by family and "friends" - but few think they re "reaching"
