Just watched the ending of the Nebraska-Rutgers clash of the P5 behemoths, and the Cornhuskers pulled out a 14-13 come-from-behind victory. Prior to this game -- under the tutelage of former coach Scott Frost -- they had a five-game streak of losing games with a margin of three points or less. This victory, for the moment, puts Nebraska in sole possession of first place in the B1G West Division. Quite a strange turn around, even though this division is much weaker than the B1G East.

Ironic that the Huskers fire Frost and then win their first close game in quite some time.

Out here, the loss has resulted in a lot more RU fans calling for
a buyout of Schiano's contract.

Also looks like, unless the state wants to pick up the tab, the new
football practice facility is toast.

Didn’t take them long to start losing 1 score games again. Visited with a Nebraska friend this weekend, and he thinks Joseph has turned the team around and may have areal shot at the open head coaching job there. Got to win a few more games obviously.

Watched part of this game. It got too ugly and I turned to another game.
