I know we're all happy with this recent streak of games, but I can't help but notice just how similar the passing game is to Washington State now that Brian Smith is in the building vs how Albin has run things in the past...

Albin and staff deserve credit for fast turnaround. Lots of improvement each week. Defense especially improved.

Similar to many aspects of our lives, when we happen to enjoy some level of success, our sub-consciousness inevitably tends to spoil the moment by forcing us to speculate “how long can the success last?”

We were so very fortunate to have Frank come to Athens and make our program relevant again. However, we’ve been lamenting for years that eventually Frank will retire and we’ll have to hire some new hot assistant from Penn State or Michigan to come in, bring us back to glory and then leave skid marks as he leaves town for his next D1 HC job

Instead, we were offered Coach Albin as the Solich replacement and I failed to understand the possibilities. We (I) rushed to judgment in a very difficult time in athletics, and forgot to realize Coach Albin would be a perfect replacement for coach Solich and unlike other short term head coaches, I believe Coach Albin could be the perfect successor to Frank for decades to come.

I’m hoping we never repeat the path Nebraska took with Solich and jump ship before it was time.

I’m enjoying this season and trying to not think about how long it’ll last… for at least a decade. Keep up the good work, Coach Albin, Frank and the rest of us ex-players are very proud!

I didn’t know I fixed our passing game, but I’m glad I could help.

Also, I was completely wrong about Albin.

Even though Rourke is a RS Junior, he has two years eligibility left after this season correct?
From my understanding he does have two years left. Arkley tweeted last night that Sammy Wigz has another year left as well.
Interesting, did not realize that about Wiglusz!

This is so confusing. There are 10 Senior starters on defense. I wonder if any of them have another season as well.

If OU is able to get 2nd year from Wigs that would be crazy.

Rourke
Bangura
Wiglusz
Miles Cross
Jacoby Jones

I think we only lose Bostic on offense.

With that all back and the defense coming back with their COVID years....

Could be a very special 2023.

And Kacmarek has evolved into one of my favorite targets for Rourke. And he's just a frosh.

He's huge and had a really decent season considering the offense is built on deep passes, but just judging by his size and athleticism, and our lack of pressure on opposing QB's... I wonder why he doesn't switch back to DE? He was a 2-star DE in HS.
