I'm talking about the ones that aren't on our schedule. We've discussed this on the board before, but a home and home with App State would be fantastic! I'd go to Boone for a game for sure and I bet their fans would enjoy Athens. They're not looking too good tonight, though.

You may have posted that last sentence just a little early.

Yep. I thought the same thing. They recovered well after a rough start.

I would love this! My good buddy here in Cinci has dropped all kinds of knowledge on me about App. I have taken him to Athens a few times. He loved it and said Boone and Athens are the best. I have yet to go to Boone. He has the advantage given they beat us in the Bowl Game. A home and home would be sweet!

It would be a competitive series and I could totally see it with the direction the program has moved toward in scheduling away from the UMass and New Mexico St types and toward higher level FBS programs.

On this note Rutgers has backed out of its 2023 game with Ohio. Considering Ohio has two home games that year against LIU and Iowa St it would make sense to find a roadie.

Coastal has an opening in 2023 and needs another home game. Might be an opportunity there.

Drats, I had just made plans to attend the Rutgers-Ohio game and visit with a cousin of wife's who lives nearby. Football schedules used to be something you could rely on being relatively stable -- particularly just a year out, but now it's almost as bad as the continually changing dates and times of OHIO basketball games.

I think we'd probably want a buy game to replace Rutgers. GA Tech, Pitt, and Baylor have an opening to fill. If we can schedule our game with BG or NIU (I believe we will be reprising the NIU, WMU, BSU West slate next year) for 9/23 when those teams are free, Miami FL becomes a possibility too.

Yes I checked all this.

I would be open to anything so long as its not a second FCS team at home next year. Out of those buy game options Georgia Tech sounds the most appealing since we haven't played them forever if at all. Baylor is too far so I'd doubt Ohio does that. Ohio plays at FAU next year so going into Miami Fl doesn't sound likely. Pitt is appealing on the basis of low travel costs.

Another article indicated that Ohio is the one that wanted out of the game. I assume we had another game to fill in there. Anyone have any insight?

Looking at what Pitt has lined up for 2023 already, they would seem the most motivated to secure another home game.

Pitt would be ideal for many reasons.
