We got the win and the improvement. But for some that means we may not get Scott Frost!!!!

Go Cats!!!!

Indeed, a win, and improvement in all the areas that have been lagging, with the result that Ohio still controls their own destiny. I'm sure that some will be despondent at the thought that TA may keep his job, but I'd hope that most Bobcat fans are happy to see the program succeed, however that may happen. I expect that this week there will be less talk about who would be a good replacement for TA, and more talk about winning the East. (And no, I don't care that the margin wasn't bigger. A win, and improvement. Who could ask for more?)

Go Bobcats.

Usually the sign for me in a particular game that Ohio's in trouble is when the opposing teams running backs appear up a level in quality and are slashing the defense for almost 8 yards a carry. I felt that way about the Kent game and the lead never felt safe to me. In past years I've felt that in games against WMU or CMU that it was inevitable to be over powered. Miami has a good rushing game statistically but its to offset having a poor passing game. They don't have a killer stable of RB's by any measure. Against Bowling Green they gave up a game they were controlling and found a way to lose The probability of Ohio losing out the remaining 5 games I'd place at less than 10%. 80% likely the team wins 6+ at this juncture in the season.

Well, if Gabbert is back by the OHIO game I would not say I'm not worried about their passing game. These are his stats from the game with the Bobcats last year:

C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT QBR
32/55 492 8.9 5 1 58.6

While OHIO won the game, these are not the kind of passing stats that I would call a "poor passing game."

Miami is ranked 123rd in passing yards and Ohio is ranked 8th in the country. Comparatively speaking they have a poor passing game.

But this is without Gabbert. I've not been able to find out when he's expected back, but I would not be surprised if he's ready for the OHIO game.
